Vacation home “Le Verbe” in the Drôme Provençale

The vacation home "le Verbe" with private garden, so named by the former owner and writer Gerard Reve, is located at the foot of the picturesque old village of Le Poët-Laval with the label "un des plus beaux villages de France" and the legend that there is always a ray of sunshine somewhere in the village. The authentic village house is within walking distance of a river with waterfall, some restaurants, a supermarket, a bakery... The region also offers many cultural and sports opportunities. The space This charming village house offers every comfort for a relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. The bright living space overlooks the garden and mountains and immediately creates a warm vacation feeling. In addition, the house has a cozy TV room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms and a unique open third bedroom under the ridge, with a cozy “tree house” atmosphere. There are two bathrooms with a toilet, as well as a spacious mezzanine with a lounge, an extra dining table, and an extra sleeping space for one person. The whole house is also air-conditioned. Outside, you can enjoy a beautiful garden with three terraces, one of which is covered. On hot days, the spacious above-ground pool (7.3 m x 3.6 m x 1.1 m) offers wonderful cooling. Guest access The entire vacation home and garden are available via a key safe. Other things to note The holiday home is located in the village of Le Poët-Laval (Gougne) within walking distance of a bakery, restaurant, the church square, small supermarket, as well as the old village and a river "le Jabron". Thanks to the Smart TV, you can easily stream your favorite programs and movies, both via your own accounts and via our available logins for Netflix and VRT MAX, among others. CONCERNS THE GARDEN It is a fully fenced garden with three terraces, one of which is covered, and several nice corners The back of the garden is adjacent to the departmental road towards Montélimar/Dieulefit. Part of the lawn is kept short by a robotic mower. CONCERNS THE POOL AREA (ideally to be used from July 1 to August 31) It is a rectangular above ground pool of 7.3m by 3.6m and 1.10m deep. Due to the construction, the swimming pool is easily made inaccessible to children by removing the ladder. You can see the pool from the 3 terraces. Furthermore, it has been chosen to purify the water with a chemical-free method (salt electrolysis) gently for eyes, skin and swimwear. REFERS TO BICYCLES There are some simple racing and mountain bikes at your disposal, perfect to explore the beautiful surroundings and the mountains. More equipped bikes can be rented in the neighboring village of Dieulefit (V8 Shop, 30 chemin de la Fayence,26220 Dieulefit). Own brought bikes can be placed under a canopy in the garden. CONCERNS LINENS & CLEANING SERVICE Linen (beds, bathroom and kitchen) is available on request (12.5 euros per person for bed linen and 7.5 euros per person for linen kitchen and bathroom), as well as a cleaning service upon departure (100 euros). REGARDING PARKING In the street, driveway can be parked for free, as well as in the immediate vicinity.
