Relax at our lakeside cottage on Portage Lake—just 6 miles from Michigan Tech and minutes from Downtown Houghton. This two-story retreat features a remodeled bathroom, full kitchen, Smart TV, coffee bar, fresh linens, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Located just steps from the water, Cottage #2 is the perfect base for your Keweenaw getaway. The space This cozy cottage offers one bedroom with full size bed, a loft with a comfy futon, and a living area featuring a foam pull-out sofa bed. The open floor plan and vaulted ceiling bring in lots of natural light and great views. We have provided linen and towels as well as cleaning supplies to use if needed. We recommend bringing your own beach towels to use by the lake. Guest access You will have access to a fire-pit, charcoal grill, and dock. Please note: We do have a dock for guest use, but because we’re in the U.P., installation is seasonal and based on weather and contractor timelines. It’s usually in place by mid-June, but this can vary year to year. **Please let us know if you intend on docking a boat**
