The Pond at Shen Lake - Lower Level Apartment

This lower level basement apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families. We are located 12 minutes from Downtown Harrisonburg, 16 minutes from Massanutten Resort, 26 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, and 8 minutes from the exciting James Madison University. While we are 2 miles from the hospital and Walmart, you’ll be tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with a big yard and our infamous sideways growing pear tree. The space This recently remodeled furnished basement apartment has all the comforts of home. The kitchen features a stainless steel dishwasher, toaster, and electric stove, as well as a full-size fridge, Keurig, coffee pot, air fryer, crockpot, and microwave. You’ll have full access to your own front-load washer and dryer located at your private entrance. The 55” Roku TV in the living room is on Guest Mode so you can confidently sign into any streaming channels and they will automatically sign you out upon checkout. The futon (sofa bed) opens to a single/twin bed (38" wide × 75" long) and a queen sized air mattress can be found in the container under the shelves in the kitchen. Extra bedding and pillows for the air mattress can be found in the small cabinet in the bedroom. The bedroom features a memory foam topped Queen sized mattress. An assortment of books, board games, movies, and games for the Wii are located in the secretary by the entrance. Wifi is provided for your convenience. Guest access When you arrive, a front parking space will be saved for your use. Follow the white gravel pathway to the back of the house to your completely separate entrance to the entire apartment. A code for the smart lock will be provided for self check-in. We have a large fenced in yard, both in the front and the back, that you are welcome to share with the host/family. Please help yourself to any pears from the tree in the backyard. Children must have adult supervision when in the front yard area around the pond. Other things to note While the entire apartment is yours, please keep in mind it is attached to our home. In our 1967 brick ranch house, you may hear ambient noise from time to time. You may hear muted voices or steps down the hall, but we do our best to be respectful and quiet. We have two indoor cats and two dogs who occasionally get a case of the “zoomies” so you may hear the chunky one running around at times but it typically doesn’t last long.
