The space Situated perfectly between Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, the home has been lovingly restored by filmmakers Kit Williamson and John Halbach, who relocated to the Hi-Desert two years ago after getting married in Joshua Tree National Park. It’s the second home designed by the couple, after their homestead renovation El Dorado Oasis was featured in The LA Times and Apartment Therapy. The main living room features a beautiful, restored stone gas fireplace (currently under repair) and 65" smart TV, with a plush oversized sectional to spread out and watch movies. The secondary living room has a wood burning fireplace, perfect for a glass of wine and great conversation. The secondary living room also has a twin daybed. The stylish galley kitchen has brand new appliances, butcher block countertops, and is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and grill. Each of the bedrooms has extremely comfortable hybrid mattresses. The master bedroom has a king mattress and its own ensuite bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have sliding doors opening up to the pool in the backyard. The spacious backyard features an in-ground pool and hot tub, an outdoor dining table for 8, propane fire pit, propane BBQ and outdoor shower. Please note that there are a few closets in the entryway and hallway locked to guests that are being used for supplies. Laundry room access is available by request for longer stays. Other things to note Pool Heating Fee: Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September. ► May through September - $150/night (if needed!) ► October & April - $200/night ► November & March - $250/night ► December through February - Please inquire *No fee to heat the hot tub!* Pool Heating: Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool. . Only one of the pool or hot tub can heat at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats, so it will take a bit longer for the pool to get to 85 degrees. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume. Hot Tub Heating: Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground uncovered hot tub, it is not heated 24/7 like above ground hot tubs to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to an hour to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature. Pool and Hot Tub Service: The pool and hot tub are serviced every Tuesday, approximately between 11am and 3pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. Dogs: Benecia Oasis welcomes your dogs! Please note that there is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Cats and other pets are not allowed. Daybed: Please note that the twin daybed with the twin trundle is not in a private room, it is in the den which is open to the rest of the home. Fireplace: There is a gas fireplace in the front living room. If you'd like to enjoy the wood burning fireplace in the back den/office, we recommend picking up bundles of firewood at a local grocery store before arriving to the home as we do not provide firewood. Please note that the fan must be turned on and the vent opened, or smoke will not go up the chimney. Guided Yoga, Sound Baths, Meditation, Massages & Personal Chefs: Please reach out to us if you'd like recommendations for yoga instructors, guided sound baths, guided meditation, massages or personal chefs. Often times vendors are available come directly to the house. Trash & Recycling Service: Trash days are Friday. The trash company will bring the cans out and back in. Liability: Use of all fire and water features is at your own risk and liability. Smoking and other open flames are prohibited. Cleaning Fee: 100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners.
