Noise can be heard from both, however the trains do not blow horns and the sound quickly becomes soothing. The highway sound is not direct and is not bothersome to most. The home is on a hill with steep drive. 4 wheel drive will be required during the winter months. The entire Cabin is yours to use. There is a private side yard with a nice grassy area and fruit trees and a large deck overlooking Lake Pend Orielle. Hope, Idaho is a breath of fresh air in the busy world we live in. It is unbelievably scenic, the community is friendly, the vibe is relaxed and easy going. Neighbors are far enough away that you don't notice them but close enough to be there if you need them. The Eagles Nest is a retreat for easy relaxation and tranquility. A reliable vehicle is needed to access the Eagles Nest and to get around and explore Hope and surrounding areas. A 4 wheel drive vehicles is a must in the winter. The winding highway along Lake Pend Orielle is not very bike friendly, however, endless biking and hiking trails are only a few minutes drive away. Taxi or Uber services are not easy to find in Hope. Please note: During the winter months a 4 wheel drive vehicle is a must. The road leading to the cabin is narrow and steep. We encourage being comfortable driving in mountain conditions. Chains may be helpful. Please notify us if you will be towing watercraft or trailers of any kind.
