The Prom Queen Houseboat

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Welcome to The Prom Queen on Beautiful Lake Monroe in Historic Downtown Sanford, Florida. We are super excited that you choose our beautiful Houseboat for your vacation. This Houseboat boasts 2 bedrooms, and one and half bathrooms. The Prom Queen boast 1850 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space. There are three deck spaces, and an outdoor table that seats six with a gas grill to enjoy our beautiful Florida sunsets. Boat is stationary only. The space 2 bedrooms, one is a queen bedroom, with a closet, drawers, private half bath access, Roku television, and private outdoor deck seating area. Second bedroom is with a full size bedroom with a closet. There are two bathrooms, one is a full bathroom across the hall from the second bedroom. The second bathroom is a half bath. There is a full size kitchen, with a cooktop range, full size fridge, fridge Ice maker, a wet bar with a mini fridge, and a small dining table. Next there is a comfortable full size couch with You-tube TV featuring the NFL Sunday ticket. Please note this is a Stationary boat only. Lastly, please note the boat is treated frequently for ants and other critters, but with a River boat at times there can be ant’s especially if food is left out on the counters or sink area. To help minimize ants please keep food in the refrigerator, and you can always contact our co-host Jill to take care of any issues. Please note the main bathroom toilet there is a button to flush the toilet(don’t use the handle) in the half bathroom use the handle but push the handle forward. Both toilets use natural lake water so the water will be brownish. The toilets are treated weekly with a tank enzyme and emptied on a weekly basis. Please only use the toilet paper provided as it’s specifically made for boat toilets. Do not under any circumstances use other toilet paper or wet wipes, this will cause the toilets to block. Please don’t flush any feminine products down the toilets as well. Thanks for your attention to this matter! Guest access We are located downtown Sanford Marina on Dock B. There will be a lock box labeled the Prom Queen. You will receive the code when you book, and dock keys will be located at in the lockbox. Other things to note There is no smoking inside of the Houseboat, smoking is permitted outside deck areas only. There is free parking in the Marina, sometimes there may be events where parking is limited. If so, there is ample parking located across the street. Please note, during Hurricane season the top awning on the upper deck at times may not be up because of Insurance regulations in the state of Florida. Please be aware that the upstairs TV on the deck can’t be used during our summer storm season due to daily thunderstorms. On the bright side, the upper deck is beautiful for quiet time to enjoy the wildlife! Lastly there is also a glass fire pit, unfortunately the city has banned these fire pits for use, but the downstairs grill can still be used to barbecue. *Please note the dishwasher is out of service for awhile and will be replaced as soon as possible. For now besides the dishes we have there is also paper plates, plastic cups and cutlery for your use., we apologize for the inconvenience at this time while we wait for a new dishwasher . Please note the AC is set at 72 only, the Houseboat is not insulated and thus the boat can feel warmer during the hot summer months. Keeping the shades down helps keep the boat cool. There are also ceiling fans in each room, plus extra Fans located in the main living area and main bedroom for additional comfort, and there is usually a wonderful breeze on Lake Monroe. Please note, no Children allowed 15 and under.
