Stay backstage at the Penasco Theater!

This artist retreat is mostly used a residency space for the Peñasco Theater. When not being used for artists coming to use the theater, we rent it out for travelers and others to enjoy. Located in the same compound as the well loved Sugar Nymphs Bistro and the Peñasco Theater Collective, this rustic rental is full of creative and rejuvenating energy. Your Air BB rental will help us subsidize more residencies for artists! The space The house has two private bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. There is a office-workspace with a twin bed that has a movable divider that separates it from the "stove room". This allows the space to be set up in a multitude of ways to accommodate many needs. There is a day bed with a pull out trundle in the living room for more sleeping spaces. The main heat in winter is a woodstove downstairs. There is a small propane heater and electric space heaters in each room. The proximity to the Sugar Nymphs bistro means you might be subjected to amazing smells of baking cakes, and some sound, in downstairs bedroom . This is a creative and rustic ( and some would say funky) artist space! Guest access There is parking for one or two cars in safe fenced in area. The parking is shared by the host Other things to note Guests in winter need to be comfortable and familiar using a woodstove SAFELY! IThe host and family live next door to the rental and share the yard and driveway.
