250m from the boisterous square, walking 7 minutes through the myth of Pelion and the history of Byzantine Makrinitsa, you arrive at the serenity of a genuine authentic place with magnificent view. Our grand father's stone house lays there. In 2022 we renovated it with respect to its traditional style, into a spacious idyllic guesthouse for 2+1 people, fully adapted to the traditional community of Makrinitsa, and yet providing modern amenities. A guest house ideal for the walkers. Discover it! The space In 2004 our grandfather's stone-house altered into two independent ground floor residences 40 square meters each one with common yard 65 square meters. Our house is at the right of the building's front face. Οur house renovated drastically and in 2022 formed into a guest-house with aesthetic that is dominated by stone and wood from Pelion. The arrangement separates the guest-house into four main areas: sitting area-bedroom, the kitchen, WC-bathroom and the yard. The access to the yard is from the house's main entrance. Our guesthouse is ideal for the walking lovers. You may enjoy a beautiful few minutes' walk just by wandering around our neighborhood's paths. Into the refreshing mountain's air, you will enjoy a beautiful landscape, in deep nature calmness, listening to only the melodic chirps while your eyesight will be captivated by Makrinitsa's unique cultural tradition. Stone houses, ornate fountains that sprouts the "Immortal Water" of Makrinitsa as the legends have it. Glades with breathtaking views. Picturesque sights like the byzantine church of 'Agia Triada' with hagiography by the Greek famous folk painter Giannis Pagonis as well as the Greek famous old elementray school of Makrinitsa just behind Agia Triada, which was the main scenery of the 1969 Greek film "The Teacher with the Blonde Hair". Your staying here will be yours favorite scenery too for countless photos for sure! For the hiking lovers there are plethora of charted routes. The path for one of those (Fytoko-Makrinitsa 7,1klm, 3,5hours) passes just outside of our house, through the mt. Sarakinos which is a wildlife National Reserve and it is a marvelous route with unique view. Search the internet for this route as "Pelion: Fitoko-Makrinitsa" at wikiloc site. A shortest route is the one that connects Makrinitsa's central square with Koukourava neighborhood. It is a very beautiful route, 4,8klm long and has an altitude difference about 340m. This route may be part of a bigger one but you can search the internet for this as "Makrinitsa-Koukourava". Whatever route you choose to enjoy please ask the locals to be sure about its condition. For the winter sports lovers our guesthouse may be one exciting choice of accommodation. Because of Makrinitsa's map place, it is one of the closest villages to Pelion Ski Resort "Agriolefkes" (17,1klm of car road and 30 minutes drive). Guest access Makrinitsa is a village of mt Pelion at 600m altitude and is dated since 1215AD thus it have been declared as a preserved traditional village! As a result, the inside of the village is inaccessible to vehicles! The circulation is exclusively on foot via a picturesque stone-path network (aka Kalnterimi) with elevation differences -steep in some cases- and with breath taking views. Therefore, your vehicle will not be able to reach our guesthouse. You will have to park it at the free parking lot at the village's entrance and walk with your luggage until the central square and finally to our guesthouse. The total distance is 600m (15minutes) and is of unforgettable beauty! Our guesthouse from the Central Square is 250m (7minutes). All the distances are mentioned in the "Where you’ll be/Getting around" section. You are welcome to all the house's places and to its common-use with the side house of the same building yard. Ιn the same plot and few meters away there is a third independent and irrelevant residence with its own yard next to ours and therefore it is not permitted to use. Our yard as the picture shows is independent, separated by a low stone-wall and is a bit elevated from ground.
