Enchanted Rose Cottage is a private, self-contained accommodation for 2 ADULTS in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Step back into a bygone era of luxury to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Come and recharge your batteries by taking a soak in the Jacuzzi hot tub/spa and breathe in the pristine pure mountain air. Take a trip on Puffing Billy or just enjoy the local cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries & wineries. You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. The space Enchanted Rose Cottage is about luxury and comfort. No expense has been spared and no detail overlooked. A purely exquisite accommodation for you and your partner to enjoy and relax in. The Cottage has beautiful French Country furnishings and gorgeous rugs. A queen sized bed with luxury linens and a velvet and carved wood two seater sofa. TV with Netfix, games and puzzles if you're staying in and not out exploring the local sights. A gorgeous space with vaulted ceilings and rustic wooden beams, hardwood floors and travetine tiles. The ensuite includes a spacious shower, pedestal sink and toilet on septic system. We provide bath robes for your comfort also. The kitchenette is well equipped with coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, bar fridge, pancake maker, sandwich press, omelette maker. As well as some pantry staples for your convenience. We include breakfast items if you wish to eat in, i.e. fresh eggs, a range of cereals, pancake mix, bread, butter, jams, honey, orange juice, milk, hot chocolate, teas and coffee. The guest suite has its own private entrance for access. A walkway bridge takes you to the Spa House area that offers perfect relaxation, an area to enjoy the outdoor views while reading a book, doing yoga or meditation and of course soaking in the spa/jacuzzi. A truly relaxing experience. Please note Enchanted Rose Cottage is available for a maximum of 2 ADULTS only. Guest access You have access to the Spa House for your exclusive use during your stay. It has a Jacuzzi spa/hot tub, table and chairs, an outdoor lounge setting for relaxing and taking in the views and Acapulco chairs for lounging in when you’re drying off. (We provide beach towels for spa use.) Also enjoy the chiminea to toast marshmallows (provided) or just warm yourself and enjoy the outdoors by the fire on a crisp Autumn or Winters day. We have a BBQ for your private use too. On the property we have two goats, quail, chickens, a cat and dog. Please do not enter any gate or paddock with the goats. They are happy with a pat through the fence, but watch out for their horns! As we have livestock on our property you may see one of us at feeding time. If you would like to feed the animals, a time can be arranged. Please don't feed them your food scraps as there are certain foods goats can't eat. We have a cupboard for your clothes or luggage as well as a chest of drawers for a longer stay. A Spa House for private use, outdoor BBQ area and chiminea seating area. Come spend a weekend away and enjoy our private outdoor spa/jazuzzi area looking over the natural landscape of giant Mountain Ash and Stringy Bark gum trees and the occasional deer or kangaroo hopping by. Bird life is plentiful with Kookaburras, King Parrots, Rosellas, Galahs, Blue Wrens, Finches, and Cockatoos visiting the property and the occasional Eagle circling above. Take a trip on Puffing Billy, visit the lakes or just enjoy the local cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries, National Parks and wineries. Enchanted Rose Cottage is a 45 minute drive from Melbourne CBD and can be accessed via the Monash and Eastern freeways. Located off Wellington Road we are on a 1.4 acre property on a dirt road, less than 5 minutes drive away from Aura Vale Lake. Enchanted Rose Cottage is located in the township of Menzies Creek which is situated midway between Emerald and Belgrave. Excellent supermarkets, shops, cafes and restaurants are located in Emerald and Belgrave (less than 10 mins by car). There are many things to do in the area such as walking/bike tracks, lakes, beautiful gardens, National Parks, shops, cafes, restaurants and wineries. In Belgrave there is the Cameo Cinema (10 minutes away), the main auditorium dates back to the 1930’s. The train service to Melbourne also operates from Belgrave. Puffing Billy historic steam train line operates from Belgrave and stops at Menzies Creek station where there is train museum and cafe. It continues on to Emerald Lake Park and Gembrook. Make sure to book ahead to ensure a seat.
