Mule Palace Bunkie Cabin (Manitoulin Island)
Description
Saddle up and head on over to the Mule Palace, it's a piece of history that's sure to make yer stay at the Ranch one to remember! The space a mighty special cabin attached to the Main Barn on the Ranch. This place has some history, let me tell ya. The original owner, Miss Willie, used to be a trail guide down in Arizona, leadin' folks on adventures with her trusty mules. She used to host Jamborees right here in this barn back in the day, and people came from all over and needed a place to rest their weary heads. Nowadays, the barn's used for storage, but it's gonna be transformin' into an Event Centre again real soon. But for now, the Mule Palace is still a tiny Western bunkie with a cozy Double bed and a sturdy single bed. It's right smack in the heart of things, so you'll be right where the action is. And ya know what's the cherry on top? This accommodation shares the main firepit by the Caretakers house, so you can gather 'round the flames and swap stories with your fellow cowboys and cowgirls. So saddle up and head on over to the Mule Palace, it's a piece of history that's sure to make yer stay at the Ranch one to remember! Guest access The Kicking Mule Guest Ranch, a family-owned and operated business that's been kickin' for over 25 years on Manitoulin Island! This place was founded by none other than the legendary "Miss Willie" and her partner, and it all started as a small-scale trail riding and camping experience in cozy bunkies nestled in the heart of the island's lush forests. Nowadays, the Lewis family has taken over the reins and added their own special touch, including some rootin-tootin' special events and the Hilltop Emporium, with all the modern amenities to provide top-notch "glamping" for our city-slicker friends. We take pride in welcoming guests from all corners of the globe and showing them some good old-fashioned cowboy hospitality in our little guest ranch. Other things to note For a real taste of the Wild West, take a short walk next door to the Kicking Mule Riding Stables & cookhouse and saddle up for a trail ride or wagon tour. And for all you animal lovers, you won't want to miss the free petting zoo, located right by the stables.
