Situated just 70 meters from the rugged and rocky Atlantic coastline, Suikerbos offers breathtaking views of both sunsets and sunrises, weather permitting. The unit is located on the first floor and can accommodate two guests. With a modern open-plan and loft-style design, Suikerbos features a sea-facing French balcony with sliding doors and a private terrace with mountain views. The space Waterblom is our family home in the charming seaside village of Pringle Bay. (The name Waterblom refers to a traditional Cape dish, Waterblommetjies.) From humble beginnings in 1977, our parents carefully developed and expanded the house. She has many stories to tell. In 2023, we fully renovated the house. We offer two independent, self-catering units, namely Suikerbos (Sugar Bush) and Kleinblom (Little Flower). Our first-floor unit, Suikerbos, can accommodate two guests in an open-plan, loft-style unit with modern and classic touches. Suikerbos features two twin beds, and the en-suite bathroom is equipped with a shower, basin, and toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-plate gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a Nespresso machine, a fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery, and a dishwasher. Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table. There is a dedicated workspace and a flat-screen smart TV with Netflix. Suikerbos features a sea-facing French balcony with sliding doors and a private outside terrace with mountain views. The unit is tastefully decorated with original art and photography. Even with a Cape winter storm raging outside, you can relax and unwind in the designer Studio Stirling swing chair while enjoying a cup of Nespresso or a glass of wine. Suikerbos offers unlimited wifi and Weber braai facilities. Kindly bring briquettes and beach towels if required. We always say, "Pringle is where the angels play" and we love to share this special place with you. Guest access Suikerbos in Pringle is accessed via a separate entrance, and a staircase leads to the unit. Suikerbos features a private, outdoor balcony with Fynbos and mountain sunrise views. Regrettably, access to the main veranda is reserved exclusively for guests residing in the primary residence, Waterblom. Consequently, the large sliding door will remain locked. However, you are welcome to open the sliding door at the French balcony to fully experience the proximity of the ocean. Other things to note Our Kleinblom unit is pet-friendly, however, we regret to inform you that Suikerbos does not allow pets. Kindly bring your beach towels and briquettes for the Weber barbecue. We provide linen, towels, and an initial supply of tea, coffee, sugar, and basic shower amenities. The village has several shops, so you can buy nearly anything if you forget to bring it with you. Pringle Bay is nestled within the breathtaking natural beauty of the Kogelberg Biosphere. Baboons are an integral part of this landscape. While it is delightful to observe them foraging, it is crucial to remember that they are wild animals. To ensure the safety of our guests and the preservation of our property, we kindly request that all windows and doors be kept closed when the whistles or vuvuzelas are heard. Baboons can cause significant damage if they enter the unit.
