A historic delight - "Painted Lady" Rowhome (infamous in Baltimore) in the charming/ colorful /quirky Abell neighborhood of Charles Village near JHU. Full kitchen with ample hosting room, brand new fridge & dishwasher. Bathroom with a clawfoot soaking tub, hardwood floors throughout, fully fenced rear yard with beautiful florals & immediate park access (with playground and a fall movie series on Saturday evenings), porch with awning, front porch with chess table & wonderful neighborhood views. A break from the boring rental, the space is is colorful and filled with art, plants, & amenities. We want you to use this space as your home while you are in Baltimore, including: A cabinet filled with games & puzzles Shelves of books Records of all kinds of genres (ask for how to use it if you haven't before - happy to help) A front porch bust of George Washington, that is also a lamp (a stylish one, we'd say) A fully stocked kitchen, with spices & tools (kitchenaid!) What makes it a Walkable Wonderland?? Abell Open Space (public neighborhood hang out playground, grass area, and picnic space). 2 blocks from Peabody Heights Brewery (with amazing events & fairs every day) 1 block from Waverly Farmers Market (every Saturday, all-year), 2 blocks from Charles Village retail strip (restaurants, shops, local grocer) 2 blocks from the library 3 blocks from Medstar Hospital 4 blocks from Johns Hopkins University campus 4 blocks from Giant grocery store 4 blocks from the hardware store a 10 minute walk to the YMCA ...and a WONDERFUL 25 minute walk to the famous Hampden 34th street during December! Lots of options for walking - Sherwood Gardens, Stoney Creek Run, Wyman Park, Baltimore Art Museum Sculpture Garden, and more! You will have the space to yourself, excluding the basement. The basement is a shared space and will have host storage and laundry access. Guests will have the house to themselves! We'll be available via text message and our supportive neighbors are near by to help, if need be. This is our personal property. Please note that the space will be further cleared prior to your arrival, removing jackets, clearing closets, and setting the space so that you can make it your home. While we would love if guests could help with watering for long term stays, we also have a service we can activate to come by 1-2x/week for plant care.
