Description
Kick back and relax in our kiwi bach with amazing lake views! Reminiscent of the colorful retro bach’s from the old days but with more modern comforts we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do. Ideal for a cosy weekend away for two or for a fun adventure for two couples, it can be a space to unwind, listen to music and tuck into a cheeseboard or a space for a monopoly tournament over a few gins. The lake is a favorite with trout fisherman and warm enough for a dip in Summer. The space Our bach is located next to the amazing Lake Poerua in the settlement of Inchbonnie on the wonderful West Coast of the South Island. It’s the perfect location to use as a base for exploring the area - 15 minutes away from Lake Brunner, 16 minutes from Mitchell’s and 30 minutes from Kumara and the Arthurs Pass village so there is lots to explore. It’s completely self catered so make sure you stock up on supplies before you come and don’t forget your insect repellent! Lake Brunner is the closest location for supplies and petrol. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in each and bathroom with spacious shower and amazing water pressure. We are on tank supply so please be mindful of water usage in the drier months. Guest access There is a private walkway (for residents of the village) next to the property for access to the lake. Please replace the electric barrier (twice a year there are livestock in the paddock adjacent and the barrier will be live) and shut the gate if you open it. Other things to note There is 4g mobile phone coverage and fiber optic internet to the door which is really fast! The tv is a smart tv which has Netflix, Disney+ and various other apps built in so you can log into your accounts. Alternatively there are board games, books and jigsaws to entertain you. Unfortunately our home is not appropriate for guests under 10 once walking due to the property not being fully fenced and the proximity to the lake and road as well as other potential hazards for children such as the height of the deck to the ground.
