It is quirky and not for perfectionists! Visit nearby Old Sturbridge and its many great shops and restaurants, and nearby State Parks. Plenty of room, fully equipped kitchen, comfy living rm & big dining room. 3 comfortable bedrooms upstairs. Very easy off/on the highway to be on your way quickly! We've hosted rehearsal dinners here, stranded late night travelers, friends of local families for graduations, etc, people whose house was being finished and needed a short stay. Stay for a night or a month. 30 min to Hartford, 1.5 hrs to Boston, 2.5 hrs to NYC. Full use of the house, except basement (it's an old dirt cellar, no reason to go down there). We live two miles away, and can provide you with as much area information as you might need! If there is a question, we are right down the road. While we are immediately off the highway from Rte 84, that also means we are mere minutes to Sturbridge, with Old Sturbridge Village, antique shops, craft breweries, and great restaurants. Walk to famous Traveler's Restaurant and get 3 free books with any meal! 5 minute drive to beautiful Bigelow Hollow State Park. Be cautious of the campers pulling out across the road, and please watch your kiddos and pets near the water! You will need a car to get here and to get around the area. This is not a public transit friendly location (sorry!). It is off Rte 84, take exit 74 for Rte 171 Union, CT/Holland MA. Across from Campers Inn. PLEASE NOTE: we are adjacent to Rte 84. So there is traffic noise ! We are still working on the barn and cabins next door - so don't worry if you see activity over there, it's probably one of us!
