Tucked away at the end of a quiet street surrounded by native bushland, this award-winning mid-century home has the kind of finishes that make an Airbnb genuinely beautiful to stay in, not just to look at. The main living area is filled with natural light, with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors that open the whole space up to the outdoors. When the evenings turn cool, light the wood heater, sink into the sofas, and wind down after a day out on the North West Coast. The layout is generous and flexible, with multiple living and dining spaces that mean guests never cramped. Kids can have their own corner, the adults can have theirs, or everyone piles in together — it just works. The kitchen is a dream for people who love to cook: Tasmanian timber bench-tops, quality appliances, and lots of room to move. Over the years we've filled our home with things we genuinely love — furniture sourced from around the world, Huon pine pieces that carry that unmistakable Tasmanian character, art by local and Australian artists collected over time, and treasured objects brought home from years of living and working overseas. Each of our bedrooms is thoughtfully set up for a good night's sleep, with soft morning light to ease you into the day. Our native garden is well established, with Australian wildflowers, banksias, and other native trees that bring the birds in throughout the day. There's plenty of space for kids to roam across every season, and the whole garden feels private and settled without being closed in. For those who need to stay connected: Travelling for work, or after a working holiday where reliable internet really matters? The house has the top version of Starlink — the fastest residential satellite connection available in Australia — along with a full home office setup. Fast, reliable, and sorted — so you can get the work done and get back to the beach. What's nearby: Just around the corner you'll find the Turners Beach Berry Patch — a local favourite and pick-your-own berry farm serving wood-fired pizzas and great coffee. For something more coastal, Little Riva has recently opened on the esplanade and is already a firm favourite with locals — well worth a visit. For cyclists, the house sits directly alongside the Penguin to Devonport coastal bike path. Ride to Penguin, Ulverstone, or Devonport along a flat, well-kept coastal route that suits all ages and abilities — the kind of riding that often ends up being the highlight of the trip. Getting around from here is easy: Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal — 12 minutes by car Devonport Airport — 20 minutes by car Cradle Mountain — just under 90 km, a beautiful 90 minute drive through the Tasmanian countryside. A wonderful base for exploring Tassie's North West — and honestly, just as good a reason to stay put. Guest access: The whole property is yours for the duration of your stay. The office space includes a comfy sofa bed that can be made up for you. Please note that this is an open plan living space but has separation from the main living area.
