There are many walking opportunities locally and Nailsworth offers several fantastic restaurants. The cottage includes a fully-equipped bathroom and kitchen, a comfortable living area with smart TV, and a cosy double bedroom. It also benefits from a private patio and free off-street parking for one car. The space The whole cottage and patio-garden is for your exclusive use. The Old Wash House is over 200 years old, it's been recently refurbished to have comfortable modern amenities whilst retaining its charm. From the drive, there is a path with a few steps down to the cottage. The front door brings you in on the first floor, into the living room with a two-seater sofa, electric fire and lovely views. Also on the first floor is a well equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. Downstairs is a bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and washbasin and the cosy bedroom which has a double bed with new memory foam mattress. There are views across the valley from both the living room and bedroom. In front of the cottage you have a private quiet garden area with fire pit and chimenea for your use. Nailsworth town centre is a 10-15 minute walk away, where you can find a selection of shops and restaurants. The local area offers wonderful opportunities for walking and cycling right on your doorstep. This includes the Cotswold Way which is only a short distance away, and Selsley, Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons. We have a selection of books and maps available with suggestions for local walks. The area has a range of other great attractions too, including Woodchester Mansion, Woodchester Valley Vineyard (tours and wine tasting available), Westonbirt Arboretum and Painswick Rococo gardens. Other places within striking distance include Stroud, Tetbury, Cheltenham, Cirencester and Bath. Should you want to stay home, there is a smart TV with all the usual streaming sites available to login to. There are also books and games in the cottage. The cottage does not have a freezer, however, we live next door and are happy to freeze things if there is someone at home, which there usually is, just ask us beforehand. Note that due to steps and stairs within and outside the property, The Old Wash House is unfortunately not suitable for travellers with mobility issues. Guest access You have exclusive access to an off-street parking space, the cottage and the garden space in front of the cottage. Other things to note Early drop off and late collection of baggage is usually available, but not always possible. Please get in touch to see if this will be possible on the dates you need. We unfortunately cannot accommodate dogs. We live next door with our rescue chihuahua who is great with people but scared of dogs and it wouldn’t be fair to her to have unfamiliar dogs coming to stay next door.
