Little Flower - Poolside Cottage

The Poolside cottage is located in the serene Little Flower Estate. The Cottage is located in front of the Laxman Theertha river. The airtel Wifi works great for those of us who want to work. The quietness and beauty of the spaces makes you want to simply be there. The space The Little Flower estate is a quaint estate garden perfect for a laid back weekend or week days too where one might want to ‘work from home’ . In a nutshell it’s country roads, gorgeous sunsets , great food and beautiful night skies. The Cottage bedroom can comfortably accommodate two guests a third on the sofa and a fourth on a portable bed. The cottage has an a common toilet and bathroom. The living room is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee while gazing at the estate and the views that extend far beyond the Lakshman Theetha river. You may bring in your books, this place makes for great reading. If you have to work, then you may connect to the WiFi and work away. The Wifi is from the 4G router connected to the Airtel network. This WiFi is primarily for mobile devices. If you want to use your laptop on this Wifi please take note that the daily 1.5GB data package can finish faster. If you want to use more data then that can be arranged at an additional cost. The Airtel tower is close at hand leading to good 5G network. So if you have an Airtel Sim with data then the coverage all across the ten acres is good. At night the verandah becomes a spot to stare into the estate from a height. The night skies are a stage from this room, especially during the monsoons when the heavy clouds and lightning makes glorious designs in the far off skies. The estate attracts plenty of colorful birds and butterflies. You will actually wake up to their melodies that begin by 6.00 am and continue till 9.00 am. The mornings make for good timing and fab location for bird watchers and photographers. Once the sun sets there a different sort of magic in the air where you get to see a number of birds probably returning home. Later into the evening the nocturnal creatures take their turn to make music while the stars dance designs for our pleasure in the night sky. Great for night photography as well. Smoking is allowed in designated open areas. Guest access We have a portable bonfire should you want one. In the yard there is a gazebo to sit around, a space to play badminton or to just play ball. By the side is a large water tank that is fenced. The tank contains fish and a number of ducks. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, a kettle, water and wine glasses, plates and cutlery. We do have a full kitchen at the larger cottage. Self cooking is discouraged, however, if you wish to use the kitchen to cook, you may do so for a cover charge of 500 INR per day. The Kanoor village center is 1.5 km from the estate and you will be able to get most essentials from there. There are available two bicycles and a cycling/walking trail that is carved out all around the fields. You may trail through the estate and fields and get enough fresh air into your lungs before you help yourself to a happy breakfast. No littering, kindly make sure to use the dustbins in the cottage and estate surroundings. Hot water flasks are available upon request. This is an estate Airbnb, and the restaurants are located in Ponampet town which is 13kms from home. It will take you 15 mins to reach Ponampet town. Ive laid out couple of menus from town. We organize your breakfast from a nearby home. Should you need lunch and dinner, I can order those as well from the same place. You will have to share your food requirements at least a day in advance before you arrive, for us to arrange for the same. We will not be able to cater to last minute food requirements, and neither can we cancel meals that are ordered. Breakfast is complimentary. Lunch/ dinner can be arranged from the same place for INR 450 for veg meals. Breakfast includes dosa or idlis with sambar and chutney. Breakfast is served along with bread and marmalade and fruits of the season. Bon fire is available on request @ INR 750 Please help yourself to tea and coffee that is available in the pantry. Please show your ID upon arrival. Surveillance on the property: For your own safety we have CCTvs The washing machine can be used for a charge of INR 200 per cycle of washing. The dryer can be used for a charge of INR 250 per cycle of drying. Please bear in mind that the dryer can only accommodate a load of 3 kgs at a time.
