Casa Montaña Treehouse has breathtaking views surrounded by natural beauty and panoramic backdrops! Cozy and romantic this unique treehouse is ideal for two guests to enjoy a romantic getaway. You’ll enjoy the view from the large reclaimed windows or be able to step out the glass front door onto the deck and enjoy the view. Waking up to the special sounds of nature, birds singing, deer and elk moving through the forest is where nature and luxury come together in tranquil harmony. Boasting large windows the open plan living/kitchen area is flooded with natural light. The plush queen size romantic canopy bed is appointed with soft cotton sheets, comfy quilts and a duvet with a down comforter to make sure you get a great night's sleep. A small table with chairs is placed in front of the picture window. For chilly days, enjoy the electric fireplace for heating or in the summer months you can turn it on for ambiance. Over the fireplace is a Smart television and a DVD player with a selection of movies. An assortment of family games, books, puzzles are included also. Even rainy days are peaceful at the treehouse due to the natural lullaby of the rain on the tin roof. In the kitchenette is a vintage style mini refrigerator/freezer, microwave, single burner cooktop, and Keurig coffee maker. We provide a few k-cup pods to get you started. Please bring your favorite for the remainder of your stay. There are dishes, glasses, silverware, serving bowls, utensils, knives, cutting board and pots and pans. For cooking outdoors there is a propane grill with utensils. There is no smoking allowed inside the treehouse or on the deck. Our bathroom has a sliding barn door on it. Inside is a flushing toilet, mirror and blow dryer. The shower has a rain showerhead from the ceiling and an electric hot water heater. In the front guests can sip their morning coffee, sit back and take in the peaceful sights and sounds of nature. There are two hanging hammock chairs for your relaxation. It’s a great place for turkey and birdwatching, bring your binoculars. There is a private fire pit where you can toast s'mores as the sun sets - relaxing with a loved one, sipping cocktails and enjoying quiet conversation. Life should be lived alongside nature. Whatever you choose to do with your time, relaxing, hiking or sightseeing at the many nearby attractions, you will make many wonderful memories at Casa Montaña. You will have the whole treehouse and surrounding forest to use. We live in our house on the property. Should you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by ringing the doorbell located on our front gate. We are available to help you out at anytime during your stay. Our treehouse is located in the Lincoln National Forest and it is special in its own right by the quietness and peacefulness you will feel while relaxing here. You are welcome to cook your own meals or there is a small café about 5 miles away or there is a bigger selection of places to eat in Cloudcroft which is 12 miles away. This being a rural area, residents do have animals and there is wildlife on our property. You may be awakened to roosters crowing or dogs barking. At night you might hear the elk grazing outside, coyotes howling or owls. Most people enjoy these "nature sounds" but if you don't, we provide disposable ear plugs. You will have to bring your own car. There is a designated parking place for the treehouse. Please do not leave the firepit unattended. Make sure to always turn it off when you go inside or leave the treehouse. You may light candles but please be responsible. Please remember that the treehouse is meant as a quiet retreat for 1-2 people only. There is a fairly steep gravel road up to the treehouse. Our 20 year old PT Cruiser makes it up fine but we mention it in case it makes a difference in the vehicle you choose to travel in. No children under the age of 10 are allowed in the treehouse.
