Meadow View is a 19th-Century Terraced Cottage, overlooking the historic village of Rowsley. Rowsley is a small village next to the Chatsworth Estate, which is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Historic attractions include Caldwell's Mill, Haddon Hall and Peak Rail. Other activities on the doorstep include shops, pubs, restaurants and fishing. Peak Village is a 5 minute walk away and Rowsley is only a 10 min drive from Matlock and Bakewell accessible by a local bus service. The space The cottage welcomes you in with a warm interior filled with character. There is a wonderfully proportioned sitting room accompanied with tasteful decor and plenty of amenities for your entertainment, including games, books, DVD's and a smart TV with a complimentary Netflix account. The wood-burning stove is a real delight and all supplies are provided for this. The kitchen/diner area has an electric oven, induction hob, and microwave. There is also a dishwasher to help you with the cleaning up should you require it. Two bedrooms can be found upstairs, both offering wonderful views of the Derbyshire countryside and with ample storage. There is a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. The large family bathroom is situated upstairs with toilet, bath, and shower. Toiletries are provided. The enclosed garden courtyard is for your sole use. There is an outdoor lockable storeroom where you can store bikes and any other outdoor equipment. Parking is available at the front of the cottage and also at the rear in a parking area shared with other houses nearby. Other things to note Peak District trails such as the Derwent Valley Cycle Way, the Monsal Trail and the Rowsley Bar Hill Climb are all within close proximity and Alton Towers is just a short drive away, making Rowsley the perfect destination for the whole family. The charming market towns of Bakewell and Matlock are nearby offering many local shops, restaurants and bars for a great day out. Bakewell is home to the famous Bakewell Pudding which you can find locally. Just 5 miles South East is Matlock Bath, home to the Peak District Mining Museum and The Heights of Abraham and Gulliver's Kingdom. The World famous Monsal Trail is a traffic-free route for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users through some of the Peak District's most spectacular limestone dales. Bike hire is available at the location.
