You will be blown away with what is behind the unassuming front door of The Loft. The modest entrance from the covered parking area leads onto stairs up and into the spacious living area complete with high vaulted ceiling, drop chandelier and covered balcony overlooking the village and valley offering stunning mountain views. This high end renovation, carried out during 2021 & 2022 boasts a great space for you to enjoy. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, (one double and one twin but can be pushed together), one ensuite bathroom and another family bathroom, both with large rain showers. Reclaimed wood and wrought iron spiral stairs beckon you to the mezzanine offering a quirky twin hideaway (perfect for children) with bespoke hand made beds made using old reclaimed wood originally within the property. There is also a lovely space here to enjoy a quiet moment reading a book or star gazing through the velux window. Please note that the spiral stairs to the mezzanine are narrow and steep and children should be supervised. The mezzanine level has a sloping roof meaning the space is not full head height and is 1.8m or lower. The beds are full size single beds but due to the layout and head height they are best suited for children. The village restaurant offers excellent hospitality as well as fresh bread (you must order the day before). 7 minutes away is access to a chairlift on Mont Chery/Les Gets plus excellent ski touring and snow shoeing terrain. THE AREA Whether you want to hop on your bike, ski the back country, hike the mountains, swim in the lakes, sail across Lac Geneva or relax at a mountain restaurant with a vin chaud or refreshing glass of rose, you will not tire of the activities there are to do here. The mountains offer something for everyone and you won't be disappointed. The Portes du Soleil boasts to be one of the largest ski playgrounds in the world with 196 Lifts and an amazing 650km of skiable terrain. The area offers skiing for all abilities and allows you to ski across the French-Swiss border as you please. 12 villages make up the Portes du Soleil, and La Cote d'Arbroz village at 1200m altitude rubs shoulders with the charming alpine village of Morzine, probably the best known of the villages. Morzine bursts with alpine charm throughout the year with outstanding winter lights through the snowy months and stunning flower displays in the summer. Ice rinks and horse drawn carriages are all part of daily life here in the winter, while bustling local markets, spectacular flower displays, mountain meadows scattered with alpine flowers and herds of bell wearing cows are what we are about in the summer.
