Sunnyside Cabin - 2 Bedrooms
Sunnyside Cabin - 2 Bedrooms
Description
Sunnyside Cabin is open year-round, is pet friendly, and has 2 queen bedrooms, a full kitchen and bath, living and dining area, wood stove, covered deck with BBQ and propane, and is located on the Cabot Trail. There are several hiking trails along the cliffs of Wreck Cove - epic waterfront views! There is an archery range on site with 3D shooting tours by the ocean, an outdoor shelter and firepit, annual foraging events, and lots of birds, fungi and plant life to learn about while you're here! The space Wreck Cove Wilderness Cabins is over 28 acres of mostly untouched nature, three rental cabins, a traditional archery range, and plenty of plants, fungi and wildlife. Wreck Cove is a series of very high cliffs with rocky, aggressive waves - there is no beach access here, but the trails and look offs will provide epic sunrises and ocean views. Enjoy the outdoor shelter and firepit, and in the winter, the wood stoves and the free snowshoes! Guest access Along with your cabin space there is a communal area with a large fire pit, outdoor shelter, and a network of trails to explore by the ocean. You can also book an appointment to learn archery from June until the end of November! Regular lessons and lessons + a unique 3D shooting tour by the ocean are available 5 days per week. Please note that Wreck Cove is a series of cliffs. The views and the nature is breathtaking and there are lots of hiking trails, but no beach access and not the greatest location for swimming. Being on the Cabot Trail just before the National Park, there are many beautiful beaches, hikes and sight-seeing stops nearby. Other things to note 1. There is no beach access here. Wreck Cove is a series of cliffs with amazing views, but the beach below is very aggressive and rocky. Not for swimming. 2. The beauty of this property is that you can rely on a full kitchen and large fridge for cooking meals, the spacious layout of the cabin for comfort with your family or group, the quiet location and privacy with very few fellow guests, and the location along the Cabot Trail for daily adventures. 3. No matter where on the Cabot Trail / Cape Breton Island you will visit, driving will be a part of every day. It is the nature of this rural landscape and something to expect no matter what community you stay in or how often you change up your accommodations. Ask for recommendations if you are not sure how to spend your time! 4. Archery is by appointment. You can contact Jay (Jessica) anytime to book.
