Private bedroom and bath in a centrally located home in the Five Points neighborhood - located just a block off of Milledge Avenue, within 1 mile of Sanford Stadium, 1.5 miles from downtown, and 5 minute walk to Five Point's restaurants and shops. Off street parking is included (up to 2 cars). One bedroom with a queen size bed. Bathroom has shower/tub combo. Just a short walk to the stadium and coliseum and downtown. Great for football weekends, concerts and festivals, research trips. The space My house was built in 1947. It is more than 70 years old and, though greatly cared for, shows its age in some places. So expect to find some loving wear, quaint aging and charming patina. If you do not like the quirks of an older home, this space is not for you. You will have plenty of privacy as the bedroom is located on the second floor where you will be the only occupants. The bedroom has a queen size bed and gets a lot of morning light. There is a small refrigerator with freezer and a microwave oven for your use as well as a built in desk. The room also has a Roku television, blu-ray player, lots of movies and books, and a chromecast. You have control of the AC and heat - the floor has its own thermostat. The bathroom has original 1940s tile. There are a few stains from painting and life. The space is cleaned top to bottom before every guests including all surfaces disinfected with Lysol before you check in. I give my guests as much privacy as possible. I am usually around if you need something, otherwise I will give you privacy and space. Dogs lives on the property. If you would like to bring your dog, you must get a approval from me to do so before you book the room. Sorry, no cats are allowed. Once you book, I will send you the check in information. Guest access In addition to the bedroom and bathroom, you will also be able to enjoy the front yard which is shaded by two large pecan trees. You can also use the front yard to enjoy the nice weather or tailgate (just let me know you if you plan on tailgating.) There is absolutely no access to the first floor of the home except for the entrance. During your stay I will be in the back of the house on the main floor if guests need anything during their stay, otherwise I will give the guest plenty of space and privacy. Other things to note I do not have a cleaning fee and all I ask you do when you check out is message me you let me know you have checked out. If you break something or stain something (ie a bedspread or rug) , please let me right away so I can plan accordingly when I clean the space for the next guest or so we can get it fixed right away. The entry way has curtains and folding scenes to make it more separate and private. The space has a separate HVAC system as well. My house is only one block off Milledge Avenue, which can get quite busy at times, and it is also home to many fraternities and sororities. While the neighborhood is quiet 99% of the time, there is a chance for some extra noise on weekends given the close proximity to campus and college students. But a little extra noise is expected at times because it is a college town after all. If you are allergic to dogs you should know I have dogs and dogs are allowed to stay in the space. There are no cats on the property. All dogs must be approved by me before they are allowed to stay.
