Wake up to the most beautiful view in South Limburg. From your own terrace, you can look straight out over the Geul Valley. You’ll be staying in a charming square-shaped farmhouse dating from 1883, right in the heart of the quiet area near the mountain village of Vijlen, with 1 hectare of private garden, luxury box-spring beds where guests say they sleep better than at home, and a kitchen where absolutely nothing is missing. The space De Verrekijker is a luxury holiday flat for four people, ideal for families and friends as a place to get together, and a perfect base for walking, cycling and enjoyable day trips in the hilly countryside and the border region. The flat has a terrace overlooking the stunning Geul Valley. The flat features a spacious living room with an open-plan kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, a fridge, an oven, an induction hob, a microwave and a full range of kitchen utensils. One bathroom is finished in beige marble with a convenient walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. The second bathroom features a luxurious jet stream bath. The bedrooms are furnished with comfortable box-spring beds with mattress toppers in a cosy atmosphere with authentic décor, and can be made up as either double or single beds. The farmhouse, of which the flat forms part, is situated just outside the mountain village of Vijlen, surrounded by nature. From the flat, you can walk or mountain bike straight into the Vijlenerbos, or explore the many signposted routes through the hilly countryside by bike. It’s a 15-minute journey from the accommodation to Aachen, Gulpen or the tri-border area, and 25 minutes to Maastricht. A guided tour or wine tasting at our neighbour, the St. Martinus wine estate, is definitely not to be missed whilst you’re staying with us. And in the evening, you can unwind with a bottle of wine or one of the many speciality beers that we keep chilled to the perfect temperature for our guests.
