Fan life! Nestled within the back of an Italianate residence is “The Apartment,” a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with a living/dining area, kitchen, in-unit laundry, a private back entrance with one parking space in the back (free on-street parking nearby) and a private alley for 1816 residents that gives you access to Grace Street/the Fan. Centrally located, this special block has a "small town feel" yet is walkable to all the fun - VMFA, VCU, Altria Theater, and festivals! The space This charming 1900s midterm apartment includes: ✔️ 2 generous bedrooms, each with closets, work desks, high ceilings, queen-sized beds, blackout curtains (for those working night shifts), dressers, sheets, pillows and blankets. ✔️A private entrance steps away from a dedicated parking space (free on-street parking is available on nearby blocks for guests and we're happy to loan one of our own private spaces when convenient). ✔️A bright, open living room/dining area. ✔️Laundry: in unit washer and dryer. ✔️Kitchen is full-sized with amenities including utensils, pots/pans, a coffee maker, toaster, glasses, vintage china, dish towel, a dishwasher, and basic amenities to get you started. ✔️Living area includes seating, a dining table and chairs, flat screen tv. ✔️Bathroom includes a shower curtain, a basic setup of towels and toiletries to get you started. ✔️Utilities: include internet, water, gas, electric. ✔️Art and amenities to make your home away from home a special place! Steps away are Monument Avenue (the median is popular for strolling, jogging, and gathering with friends), Grace Street Park (to walk dogs), The Shenandoah, Meadow Park (a great place to read or picnic with friends), so many restaurants (where to start?), an easy walk to get your groceries at Whole Foods... and a PULSE bus stop! Within a mile-ish are the VMFA, VMHC, the Science Museum (and its new urban park!), live music at The Camel, Broadberry, VCU, Altria Theater, The National, Kroger, plenty of breweries, endless entertainment... Yet on a quiet block- a friendly, small town feel in the heart of the Fan, minutes to downtown, with quick access to bus lines (including The Pulse to VCU/the hospital/Arts District/Shockoe), interstates, and Amtrak. We might be biased but we think it’s the best block in Richmond! Available for weeks/months at a time, this apartment is a great way to call Richmond's charming Fan district your "home" while you're in town! Guest access See floorplan- the apartment is self-contained within the Italianate- 2 bedrooms with an open living area, kitchen and bathroom. The entrance is steps from your private parking spot in the alley, and a private side alley gives you easy access to Grace Street. Other things to note The alley is ugly, but you have dedicated parking one street from Monument! The Fan neighborhood is beautiful and walkable! The apartment looks plain at the entrance but is beautiful & cozy inside, and in a great location for walking, dining, and all the museums, festivals, and races. Unfortunately, NO CATS. EV Charging: In Virginia the average cost to charge an EV is $10 (normal car) to $16 (large car), which is a cost not included in the rental. There are two EV charging stations within blocks: 2024 W Broad St (at Whole Foods) and 507 Stuart Circle. We are concerned about loads on our old historic home so not able to accommodate charging via the apartment. PLEASE NOTE: This apartment is not child proofed.
