You can also close the gate at the end of the road for additional privacy, although there is no need because you can not see a soul in sight from anywhere on the property. This home backs 100,000 acre Pike Nation Forrest with a natural stream, beaver ponds, rock outcroppings. A portion of the property is sunny and other portions are dark wooded forests. The hiking opportunities are endless. Just out of the driveway and 1/8th of a mile north is the famous Phantom Canyon trail head for dirt biking and four wheeling. Jeeps and other rock climbers can access national forest trails just 2.2 miles away on Wildhorn. Other things to note Teller County does not get much snow until February to March time frame. Although we have a snow plow service, the time frame for snow plowing is not guaranteed. If you book in winter months, please be sure to have a AWD or four wheel drive vehicle. AWD compact cars will be fine as there are no clearance issues.
