Our family has vacationed on Hatteras Island for decades, and we’ve filled our home with the features we always valued. Inside, our Game Room offers a full-sized Kick Triumph foosball table, a regulation dart board, and a flat-screen TV to catch the game. Our Living Room boasts a 65-inch flat-screen TV with Roku streaming and HDMI ports, a cozy electric fireplace, a high-quality radio with Bluetooth speaker, and a spacious sectional for family movie nights. For those blissful indoor days, we've shared our novels, short stories, cookbooks, magazines, board games, puzzles, coloring books, and art supplies. Outside, we offer four kayaks (two single and two fishing), two inner tubes, a fish-cleaning table, a custom charcoal grill station, a spacious outdoor shower enclosure, and a 70-foot boardwalk for fishing, lounging, and dipping your toes in the sound. Toss our frisbees, fly our kites, flaunt your impressive cornhole game, and express yourself with sidewalk chalk. We have comfortable Adirondack chairs for soaking in the rays, a hot tub/spa for sunset happy hour, a sheltered hammock for breezy summer days, and a telescope for stunning Milky Way nights. Headed to the beach? We offer six aluminum beach chairs, a beach umbrella, two boogie boards, two skim boards, and a paddle ball set. A quick 10-minute drive takes you to Frisco Beach, our most popular public beach with ample parking, easy access, clean restrooms, and outdoor showers. Like to cook? We've built a kitchen just for you! Enjoy our bright and spacious open-plan kitchen with sound views, granite countertops, quality appliances, reliable knives, and a full range of baking pans. If you’re the sort of cook who packs six weeks of food for a one-week vacation (same...), we offer a spacious refrigerator with a freezer drawer, a generous open pantry with sliding shelves, and a multi-tier spice rack. Each of our bedrooms comes with a quiet, balanced ceiling fan, a comfortable desk, a full-length mirror, double night stands, easily accessible power outlets, window blinds, beautiful art, a flat-screen TV with Roku streaming and HDMI ports, and clear views of the sound. She is, after all, a modular beach box: built in a factory, trucked down the highway in halves, lifted onto piles, and bolted together right down the middle. A house with such humble beginnings is lucky to be here, right on the shores of the Pamlico Sound. She’s full of antique furniture, all of it lovingly refinished and happy to share its story. Her white paneled walls are covered with art, much of it hand-made, purchased from local artists, or borrowed from our family home. Best Box is eager to share some of her firsts, too: first picture windows, first dishwasher, first soundfront boardwalk, and first time opening her doors to Outer Banks visitors!
