A centrally located 3 bed 2 bath updated house in a family friendly neighborhood with a hot tub near downtown Lawrenceburg! Less than 10 minutes to Wild Turkey and Four Roses. Dogs Allowed! This rental has everything you need and proximity to Keeneland, multiple Bourbon Trail distilleries, UK athletics, Lexington and Frankfort! It is the perfect location for couples or families (and their 4-legged friends) looking to spend some time enjoying bourbon, horse racing, and all things Kentucky. To avoid any confusion, potential guests should thoroughly read ALL information below before requesting to book. We promise that the info below will better prepare you for your trip and answer 99% of your questions. The Rickhouse is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom bourbon themed home that features an open floorplan with a connected kitchen, dining, and living area. The primary bedroom and en-suite bath are accessed from the living room while the additional two bedrooms and bathroom are accessed from the living area and on the opposite side of the house. Off of the kitchen you will find the wooden deck and grilling area. Below the deck is a brand new hot tub that accommodates six people and is surrounded by string lights for those relaxing evenings. The backyard is fully fenced and perfect for your four-legged friends to enjoy. During your stay you will have a private drive way (large enough for three sedan/SUV sized vehicles) for parking. The Rickhouse offers a full family experience, but keep in mind that if you have babies/infants the home is not baby proofed. A pack and play and booster seat are provided for your use. In the kitchen you will find an extensive collection of cookware/dishes, a coffee and tea bar, and the laundry room (washer and dryer). The cozy king and queen beds each have three pillows and the full and twin beds (bunk) each have two. Dedicated high-speed WiFi internet is available for business and entertainment needs and can be used to stream content to all three smart TV’s from your Netflix/Amazon Prime accounts. Located just off of Woodford Street near Main Street in downtown Lawrenceburg. Walmart is a block away and Kroger is 4 minutes. Around the corner on Main Street is Bourbon Station, Heavens to Betsy Bakery, and Off the Ground Coffee House. If you’re in to antiques, you have to stop in Good Ol’ Boys Leather Company. You can also visit Workout Anytime for all your gym, workout, and fitness needs ($10 day pass for visitors and 5 minutes from The Rickhouse). The Area Bourbon Trail The Kentucky Bourbon Trail was established in 1999 and consists of 42 different bourbon distillery experiences. There are several shuttle companies that offer a carefree way to experience the bourbon trail, including pickup and drop off service right from The Rickhouse. Wild turkey and Four Roses are the closest experiences (less than 10 mins) with numerous others nearby. Wild Turkey: 7 mins Four Roses: 9 mins Woodford Reserve: 21 mins Buffalo Trace: 21 mins Castle and Key: 23 mins Bulleit: 28 mins Makers Mark: 50 mins Bardstown Bourbon Company: 40 mins Horse Racing/Events Keeneland – just a short 25 minute drive. Every April and October bring phenomenal racing to this boutique track. Even if you can’t make a race, the Keeneland experience is unforgettable and open to the public daily. Churchill Downs- the home of the Kentucky Derby is 55 mins from The Rickhouse. Derby week is the first week in May. Kentucky Horse Park – this beautiful state park is 38 minutes away in Lexington. University of Kentucky Sports Football – Kroger Field is a 30 minute drive Basketball – Rupp Arena is a 30 minute drive Versailles This quaint town is a short 10 minute drive and worth a visit. If you like bourbon, we highly recommend you stop by the Amsden Bourbon Bar after a nice dinner at the Rolling Oven Taproom. Frankfort Aside from being the Capital, Frankfort is only 20 minutes away and offers so many daily activities- from shopping and antiques to paddle boarding on the river or bike riding through the downtown historic district. If you are hungry or thirsty in Frankfort, please stop by Bourbon on Main to visit our favorite server Tonya and tell her we sent you! Guest will have full access to the entire house and yard. The back yard is fenced in. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions during your stay. Quiet neighborhood with sidewalks There are paved sidewalks around the neighborhood and you will have a private driveway for parking.
