Just 5 miles south of Fakenham, 13 miles from the popular tourist town of Holt, 11 miles from Burnham Market and you're also not far from the beautiful north Norfolk coast at Holkham, Wells-next-the-sea, Morston and Blakeney. A stones throw from Pensthorpe Nature Reserve too. A working farm in itself and boasts beautiful countryside and an abundance of wildlife, also a great spot for birdwatching and easily reached from cycle routes. The space Highfield Farm is the private home of the Savory family, the fourth generation to farm the land that surrounds it. A beautiful, old farmhouse full of character. The guests rooms are located at the back of the property overlooking the courtyard and stables and fields beyond. Accessed by some stone steps to the back door to a room heated with a large wood burner. Leave your wellies or boots by the door and head on in to a private breakfast and TV room where you can make your own tea or coffee and enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning, served with home made bread. The bedrooms and bathroom are located behind a door to a steep wooden staircase. The rooms are warm and comfortable and simply decorated for a peaceful night’s sleep. An extra big bath awaits for a long soak after a day’s exploring the countryside. Guest access Guests may enjoy the walled garden for privacy from the main house. Other things to note It is possible to park right up to the back door, accessed by gates. The main gate at the rear of the property is closed at night. Please be aware that horses and dogs also reside at the property. It is a busy working arable farm and at times during the summer tractors and large machinery may operate into the late evening on occasion.
