Guest Suite in Historic Covington

Enjoy a unique experience at The Pirate House guest suite in historic Covington. Located in a beautifully decorated circa 1910 New Orleans-style home. Just a half-mile walk to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Covington and even closer to many popular filming locations. While this home has not been used for filming, all of the surrounding properties have, and it is mentioned on local tours due to its unique design & eccentric holiday decor that is displayed year-round. The space Inside: The guest suite has a separate entrance from the rest of the house. You will enter into the bedroom; the back portion of the guest suite is the living room, dining, and kitchen area. The bathroom is located off the kitchen. This is an older home, so the bathroom is a smaller, cute little 5.5 x 5.5ft square. Some additional shelving is provided in the bathroom to act as additional counter space. There is also a large mirror in the bedroom to provide an additional space for guests to get ready. The guest suite is attached to the main house, but there are no shared spaces. You may see us coming and going occasionally, and some day-to-day noise is possible, but your stay should be quiet and peaceful. Outside: We go all out on decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. This is for everyone to enjoy. We love being able to share our home with others and have them enjoy the experience as well. We have a pirate theme that stays up all year, so there are plastic skeletons and props on the front porch and in part of the yard. You are more than welcome to take pictures. Please do not touch or move the props. No animatronics are part of the year-round display. If some are out around Halloween or Christmas, we will let guests know in advance what times the displays will be on. Guest access The guest entrance is located on the left side of the main level of the house. It is a single-door entry that is set back on the porch. There is a keypad, so it is easy to come and go. The porch, walkways, and front driveway are for you to use during your stay. Other things to note Covington, "Hollywood of the South," is home to Vampire Diaries, Sweet Magnolias, In the Heat of the Night, Dukes of Hazzard, and much more. Be sure to book tours in advance, as they get booked up quickly. If you would like to use the sofa bed during you stay please let us know in advance and we will have it ready for you before you arrive.
