Less than a five-minute walk to a private beach in Destin, Florida! This Gulf paradise ground floor condo is DOG FRIENDLY. Located in the Chateau La Mer resort complex guests have access to a private parking space, heated pool, tennis courts, and private beach access. There is not an ocean view with this condo. This condo is 850 sq ft. It works well for a couple with up to two children. We do not recommend more than three adults staying at one time. The space Welcome to The Millie! Enjoy an easy check in process with keyless entry. The walk to the private beach with gated access is five minutes, just across HWY 98. The condo is a one bedroom, one bathroom with an open floor plan and 850 sq ft. The bedroom features USB bedside table lamps, no need to search for the outlet to charge your phone. There is an additional beach room which has been added to the property. The beach room is equipped with beach chairs and bicycles for a guests enjoyment. Bicycles are equipped with combination locks. Enjoy free wifi, cable, and Netflix access. There are two flat screen televisions, one in the living room, one in the bedroom. The couch is a sleeper sofa is equipped with a queen size mattress. The mattress is thin so we provide a thick mattress cover to make the pull out much more comfortable. The kitchen has a microwave, oven, coffee maker, and toaster. Use of all kitchenware is included. Two ceiling fans and a strong air conditioner will keep you cool once you return from the beach. As noted this property was recently updated and has all new furnishings. We are excited to share our space with families and friends, to include the four legged kind. The condo is great for couples or small families. I would not suggest renting our condo if your party is 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 larger teenagers. 2 adults and 2 younger children seems to work much better. This condo is privately owned, and is not connected to any resorts or property management companies. Due to our strict Covid cleaning standards, late check outs and early check ins, are typically not possible. FAQ’s Q: Are there any extra pet fees? A: Nope Q: Your condo is dog friendly, so does that mean the beach is too? A: Unfortunately, no. All beaches in Destin and all of Okaloosa County prohibit pets. There is a nice walkway that runs along Hwy 98 parallel to the beach, which is great for walking dogs. I would recommend a walk either very early or around sunset during the summer months as it can get brutally hot during the day. You would also want to avoid black asphalt while walking your pet in Destin during the summer months. There is a dog park in Destin located at 4100 Indian Bayou Trail Destin, FL 32541. The dog park is approximately 3-acres and includes separate areas for large and small dogs. Q: Where is the closest dog friendly beach from Destin? A: The closest dog friendly beach we are aware of is in Ft. Walton Beach at Liza Jackson Park which is located at: 342 Miracle Strip Pkwy SW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548 It is approximately 30 minutes away by car. Q: Do you have a specific pet policy? A:Our family has three dogs and we know how difficult it is to find pet friendly hotels and vacation rentals. That is why we chose to make our space dog friendly. We don’t have any specific rules for dogs. We assume you know your pets behaviors well, and will make the appropriate arrangements if you leave your pet alone in the condo. We also assume our guests will treat our space like their own space. It goes without saying any damages incurred from your pet would be your responsibility. Q: What if I can’t access the Schlage Smart lock? A: No need to worry. We have a lock box with a physical key which unlocks the back door. We can send you the code to the lockbox before your stay if you would like us to. Just remember to put the key back in the lock box upon your departure. We change the code after each visit. Q: Can guests use the bikes located in the beach room? A: Yes, bike use is free of charge for Airbnb guests. Guest access Entire condo, pool, tennis courts, and deeded private beach access. The pool is heated from the last week of November to the last week in March. It is not heated the rest of the year. Other things to note Feel free to use the beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrella located in the beach room closet. Extra linens for the sofa bed and extra pillows are located in the master bedroom closet. COVID-19 Cleaning Practices We are taking extra precautions to ensure our condo is as clean and safe as possible for our guests! Below are strict standards our cleaning staff is observing: * Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all frequently touched surfaces and service items in the property between each guest stay. * Thoroughly washing all linens, towels, dishware, and other service items available for the use of our guests. We are washing all items on a sanitizing high-heat cycle. * With our remote check in process, we have eliminated any direct contact with our guests in order to practice safe social distancing. * Providing sufficient soap and surface sanitization supplies for our guests to use during their stay.
