Welcome to 'The Old School house', our Victorian Grade II listed townhouse. Dating back to the 1860's, the property boasts period accents with a modern twist and all essential amenities. This is the ideal base from which to explore the medieval cathedral city whilst having a home away from home to return back to. Salisbury's shops and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk, and sites like Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Wilton House are a short drive away. The space "You can't go wrong with the Old School House. Step over the threshold into a spacious hallway and grand staircase leading to the three bedrooms and family bathroom upstairs. Downstairs, there is an open plan living room, kitchen and dining area, along with a utility room and WC. Enjoy a home cooked meal with friends or family around the 6-seater dining table, or venture into Salisbury to experience one of the many great restaurants on offer. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, oven, toaster, coffee machine (pods), kettle, microwave and fridge freezer. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine in the utility room. Tea, coffee, sugar and basic condiments are provided. In winter months enjoy a cosy night in with a glass of wine in front of the fire (logs, kindling and fire starters are provided for the log burner between Oct-March). On the first floor there are two spacious bedrooms - a twin and double, and a family bathroom with large walk-in shower (newly fitted in 2025). Ascend another staircase to reach the huge master bedroom, boasting a superking bed, lounge area with TV, games and click-and-clack sofa bed for 1 guest (slightly larger than a single bed), and study corner with desk for homeworking. You can even challenge your companions to a game of foosball/mini football or snooker! Outside there is a small patio area with outdoor seating. Access to the property is via a lockbox, all details will be messaged across a few days before check-in. Other things to note ESSENTIALS PROVIDED FOR YOUR ARRIVAL We know that after a journey, the last thing you want to do is head straight back out to the shops for the basics. As part of our Host with Grace welcome, we make sure there are a few everyday essentials waiting for you when you arrive, helping you settle in, put the kettle on and start enjoying your stay. Our complimentary selection of essentials is intended to get you started, rather than to last for the full duration of your stay, so you may need to top up during longer stays. We will share plenty of recommendations of things to see and do locally, all laid out in a user-friendly digital welcome guide which will be shared with you ahead of check-in. The log burner is operational between October and March - logs, kindling and fire starters are provided. A high chair and travel cot can be provided upon request. Please bring your own bedding. The TV has all modern apps installed for you to log into your own accounts. Free on-street parking is available on a first come first served basis on all streets within parking Zone D. Please share your car registration with us prior to arrival so we can arrange a digital permit for 1 car. Please be aware that available parking spaces are limited after 5pm so you may need to drive around the block to find a space! Please note the house is located on a main road / roundabout so you can hear traffic from the front rooms. For stays over 14 nights we offer a complimentary spruce up clean each fortnight. A fresh linens and towels service can be added to the clean for a small fee.
