Petals is located within a 1920’s restored Queenslander only two streets back from the Cairns Esplanade. Within the same building as Blossom 1 & Blossom 2 this apartment has a beautiful large bedroom, a sweet new kitchen with bench to read the paper and watch the world go by. The lounge and dining area are on the perimeter of the back of the building. Enclosed with lovely Queenslander windows the whole way around giving light and mountain outlooks. The bathroom is original. The space This apartment is freshly painted and restored. All timber floors throughout are sanded, with a new kitchen. The bedroom is very large with lovely high ornate ceilings and a brand new Queen ensemble bed. There’s a wardrobe, desk and original artwork. The kitchen looks over the street and has a timber bench for reading and watching the world go by. The lounge and dining area are on the back of the building with the garden for Blossom house below. The entire apartment is wrapped in Queenslander timber windows allowing lovely light and breezes in the cooler months. There’s a huge new air conditioner. The bathroom is original. We have kept the bath and sanded and coated it numerous times so that we could keep the terrazzo floor. The toilet is new. There is a laundry room downstairs with a free washing machine and commercial coin dryer for $3. It’s an excellent dryer if needed. There’s a clothesline in the garden. The entry for Petals is at the back of the building. Guest access The one bedroom apartment is completely yours. There is a garden downstairs and a large timber deck under a marquee. This is an undercover space you are welcome to use. It’s quite rustic and relaxed. The laundry and clothes line are in this area. Other things to note This apartment is the third one to be added to Airbnb in this building. Downstairs are mostly elderly permanent residents. The floors are timber and I find many guests are medical professionals working at the hospital. I prefer quiet guests who take off their shoes inside. The entrance is not as glamorous as entering the apartments at the front of the building. I have adjusted the price down to allow for the side entry aspect of the apartment.
