River Cottage is an idyllic getaway for anyone in need of a peaceful retreat. The charming location immediately beside the River Wissey has cosy accommodations and scenic views, making it a perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. The riverside patio and colourful garden add to the tranquillity and give a serene space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The added convenience of having a community-run village pub within walking distance adds to the overall charm of this holiday cottage. The space This one-bedroom cottage been tastefully converted and fully rebuilt in 2022, boasting a cosy yet light and spacious interior with high vaulted ceilings. It is well furnished creating a modern environment with a wood burning stove for those chilly or romantic nights. The patio doors open onto a spacious paved area with magnificent and unrivalled views of the river. Adjacent to the living room is an open plan fully fitted kitchen with all modern appliances including a wine cooler, and breakfast bar & stools. The cottage is equipped with reliable Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, a comfy sofa, and flyscreens on the patio doors. Additionally, there is a separate dining area with a table and seating for two. The bedroom features a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes, and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. All necessary linens and towels are provided, along with hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Guests can choose between feather & down or non-allergenic pillows. The layout of the cottage is entirely on the ground floor - please note that there are a few small steps in the paving that may impact wheelchair accessibility. The cottage has full central heating and is extremely well insulated for comfort. Guest access We have off-street parking for your car, with a semi-private (only shared with the owners) pathway leading onwards to the cottage. Other things to note Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate children due to the close proximity of the river, or any pets as we are required to maintain an allergen-free environment in the cottage. We do not allow smoking or vaping inside the cottage. The property is perfectly suited for two adults as a couple.
