Make yourself at home in your pod area with everything included and embrace off-grid living by heating your own shower or private hot tub by wood fire. You can also enjoy our communal BBQ Hut, perfect to cosy up in when the weather is cold or wet. We also have a playground which includes a reading and games room for adults. The space Owl red is the perfect space for you to relax and share memories whilst being off-grid. The pod includes a King bed, two benches and a slide out table. You will find two hot water bottles and all bed linen provided. The bathroom includes a shower, sink and loo. Create your own hot water by using the woodfired boiler and enjoy the satisfaction whilst showering. The alfresco kitchen includes a two-ring gas hob, sink, ice cooler and a crockery box including all your kitchen essentials such as pans, utensils etc. Enjoy the use of your very own private wood-fired hot tub. The hot tub takes about 2 hours to heat fully. You can ask for your hot tub to be pre-heated before your arrival for a small extra cost. Guest access You will have access to your own private pod area with a hot tub, the communal bbq hut and the playground. The playground includes a reading and games room for adults. You can also walk around the woods and listen for the birdsong. We also have an on-site Food Shack, Lahtle Grub, which currently serves pizzas on Friday and Saturday evenings during the peak summer season. Lahtle Grub is currently closed but will reopen in May 2026. There is so much to see and do around our local area. The coastal town of Scarborough is a 20 minute drive away and the Market town of Malton is a 15 minute drive in the opposite direction. There are many fun attractions such as Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire Water Park, Woldies Lavender Farm, Scampston Hall, Castle Howard, Alparmare waterslides and spa, Flamingo Land and local towns such as Filey and Pickering too. Other things to note We are off-grid, so the pods have no electricity but we do provide lanterns and fairy lights. There is running water, which you can heat using the wood burner. Please bring battery packs to charge your phone,s as there is no electricity in the pods, we do have a small charging point for phones and battery packs in the loo by the reception. In your pod area you will find a QR code which takes you to an instructional guide on how to use your pod facilities.
