With its location, you can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, along the New River, nature walks and biking on the Blue Ridge PKWY. The cottage is stocked with many convenient amenities and also offers an area for outdoor dining with a charcoal grill and an open fire pit Guest are welcome to use anything in the property. Guest are able to access and enjoy the entire property. We are located approximately 20 minutes away. Please feel free to call or text if you need anything. Pine Tree Meadows Cottage is just a few minutes away from downtown West Jefferson, a vibrant small town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy shopping at the many one of a kind stores, boutiques, and art galleries, and stop for a delicious meal in one of the numerous restaurants. Stop by Bohemia for a coffee, or see cheese made at Ashe County Cheese. Cruise along the Blue Ridge Parkway for stunning views and plentiful hiking trails. Find your new favorite fishing hole at one of the many creeks, ponds, or at the New River. If canoeing, kayaking, or tubing is more your speed, head over to Zaloo’s on the New River. Adventure awaits! Parking is free on the premises. Please use parking spaces 4, 5, or 6. The duplex located next to the cottage is also a short term rental, you may/may not encounter another guest. Both properties do provide privacy away from each other. The neighbors dogs “Chewy” and “Bocca” enjoy welcoming our guest and will hang around if you feed them. Both pups are harmless and super sweet they just really like the attention. NC mountains are used for fighter jet training, the NC mountains mimic the landscape of Afghanistan and other middle eastern countries. The valley in front of the cottage is a flight path. You will be able to experience the power of the jets as they fly low and maneuver through the hills.
