Holiday home La Poire, on an estate on the Dordogne

Your vacation home is called "La Poire". It is a fully furnished and restored gîte on the river Dordogne, for 2 to 3 people. It has all the comforts. The space • 1 bedroom for a total of 3 adults. The bedroom has its own bathroom and a large wardrobe. If desired, we provide crib(s) and a playpen. * 1 bedroom with a double bed, possibly to be made separately. * 1 extra bed on request for the third person. • Kitchen: dishwasher, Nespresso machine, 2nd filter coffee machine, fridge with spacious freezer compartment, microwave, oven, kettle, spacious dining table, etc. • Fast Wi-Fi in the Gîte and in the garden. French, Dutch and Flemish TV channels. Shared facilities on our estate: • Chlorine-free swimming pool 15 x 7 meters. Swimming without stinging eyes! • 3 hectares of garden on the Dordogne, with canoe ramp. Very suitable for fishing. • Washing machine & dryer • Ping pong table and games • Bike rental • Free parking on own property • Homemade meals to heat up yourself. Guest access The location in France: on the river Dordogne, near the village of Prudhomat, in the middle of southwest France. The department/province is called the Lot. Your gîte La Poire (the pear) is located in an ancient building on our estate. The building was put into use around 1600 as a toll house and inn for travelers on the Dordogne. Captains of barges could exchange their horses there. The building now also contains a storage room next to your gîte. Our estate consists of an old orchard with nuts and fruit, grassland and a piece of forest. There are 3 buildings on the 3ha site. In addition to your gîte, these are the main house of our family and a second outbuilding. Herein lies a second gîte: La Figue, for 2-5 people. Domaine de Vayssières is located near the village of Prudhomat. Here you will find a large castle, a restaurant (recommended!) and a small market twice a week. 8 minutes' drive away is Bretenoux, with supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, a cinema, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley, market, etc.
