Welcome to Gore Cottage, West Milton in rural Dorset, between Bridport and Beaminster. The Grade II Listed Building of Historic and Architectural Interest, is stone-built with a thatched roof, standing in its own secluded garden and offers a traditional and cosy holiday. Ideal for families and dog-friendly, it sleeps up to 5 plus cot. Located in an AONB and a conservation area, there are beautiful walks, with the nearby Jurassic Coast at West Bay, being the setting for 'Broadchurch'. The space Downstairs: there is the WC, sittingroom with the wood burner stove and single bedrrom with telephone. The kitchen-diner is off the sitting room, with the bathroom also: very handy for bathing the children whilst cooking the supper. Upstairs: there are two double rooms, one with a double bed, the other with two singles. There is an outside WC in the thatched garden shed with outdoor toys. The secluded garden is large enough for children to play in. Guest access The parking space, for 2 cars, is at the end of the lane, then there is a walk of a hundred yards to the cottage, along the footpath and across the footbridge over the stream, the Mangerton River. The perfect place for playing "Pooh Sticks" Other things to note Take binoculars if you are interested in birds. There may sometimes be sheep in the field and an Exmoor pony and a donkey. In walking distance is Powerstock Church, worth a visit, with the Three Horseshoes pub near by. A little further on is the Marquis of Lorne at Nettlecombe.
