Description

Located only 10 minutes from the famous Salt Beach Restaurants and Kingscliff Beach (one of the most sought after beachside holiday locations in Australia), is this unique country homestead nestled amongst native trees overlooking the beautiful farmlands of Duranbah. Only a few minutes drive to thriving Cudgen/Duranbah farm lands that include Tropical Fruit World, Farm & Co Organic Cafe and Farm, Red Earth Boutique MicroBrewery and the luxury wedding venue Plantation House. The space Our lovely family home is very spacious. Three of the five bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Please note that the 4th bedroom will need to access one of the ensuites from rooms 1-3. The lower floor is a self contained studio with ceiling fan and air-con, a kitchenette, toilet, outdoor hot and cold shower and courtyard. It is accessed through the garage, down the stairs from the main living area. The guest toilet is located at the bottom of the steps through the garage (no cars to be parked in the garage) There is plenty of room for the kids to play outdoors both at the pool or the yard. The lay-back deck and pool area is great for entertaining with a BBQ and a mini bar fridge if required. Please return all furniture covers after use. Note the furniture will get wet if it rains so it’s recommended to leave covers on overnight. There is a garden fire pit available for guests use. There is limited wood available so we recommend that you bring your own firewood. The master bedroom is in an open plan loft which has a claw foot bath, great for relaxing - bring some therapeutic bath salts. An additional day bed is available for use if required. There are two living rooms on the centre floor, one for lounging and watching tv (you will need to log into your Netflicks) and the other more formal with an open plan dining area that comfortably seats 10. The main living area has an aircon that provides an ambient temperature when set to 23. The sun room hosts laptop docking stations) The house is surrounded by verandahs which keeps the house cool in summer with the prevailing breezes and gives a beautiful view over the valley. Please let us know in advance if you are brining toddlers so that we can install the stair gates. ** Please know we are currently undergoing minor renovations (painting and fixture changes) and changing out furniture. This will not impact your stay, however the aesthetics of the home look slightly different to the current photographs. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire home, the outdoor entertainment and pool area as well as a fully ‘farm’ fenced yard and surrounding paddocks, which may have cows and horses grazing depending on the time of day. Mind the electric fencing it’s live. Please don’t go through any closed gates, but feel free to take walks through the front paddocks , where you may bump into friendly campers. Other things to note It is important to note that guests in room 4 would need to share showering with other guests in their ensuites. Room 5 granny flat does have its own toilet which is separate guest toilet and can be used by anyone. The granny flat also has a hot-water outdoor shower. Access to room 5 granny flat and the guest toilet is down the stairs opposite the kitchen through the garage to the right. GAS HEATING and COOKING The hot water system, heating and stove run off gas. The gas bottles are located outside the granny flat, through the shower behind the house. If water runs cold, check the stove to ensure no gas is running then switch the gas bottles over. Please let us know one of this happens so that we can order a replacement for the next set of guests. TOILETS The house runs on an environmentally safe septic system. Please only flush toilet paper down the toilets. Sanitary products and wet wipes (even flushable ones) will clog the system resulting in unpleasant smells and the need to get someone out to clear it. RUBBISH Bin collection days are on Wednesday. Red and yellow council bins can be found either outside the garage next to the granny flat or at the top of the driveway. For guests staying for extended period we recommend taking all your rubbish up on a Tuesday evening as the truck comes super early. Do not overfill the bins and only use those demarcated for 83. The blue bins at the pool area and outside the garage are for cans and bottles designated with the 10cents refund. A black compositing bin is located outside the sunroom/laundry. PARKING There is more than adequate space for cars to park on the property. The garage is not to be used for parking of any vehicles. PETS Yes we are pet friendly, some things to note though, the property only has farm barbed wire fencing, though the pool area is fully fenced so pets can be kept locked in that area should you wish to go out and leave them. No pets allowed on furniture and owners must clean up after their furry friends. Registration Details PID-STRA-50711
