Unique little hideaway with stunning views and gorgeous West Sussex walks on your doorstep. The Llain cottage at Nostel Priory is a studio-style guest house located in the centre of the village - an area of outstanding natural beauty. Balcombe station is 10 minutes walk away with easy access to Gatwick (8 mins); London (40 mins) and Brighton (20 mins). Perfect as an idyllic hideaway for long walks with pub lunches, or if you need a stopover for an early morning flight or late night wedding! The space * Self-contained, semi detached cottage with private court-yard and own entrance * Free parking available on lane * Studio style living/dining/sleeping * Bed is a standard UK sized double bed * Boot room and space for pets * First floor bathroom with basic shower over bath, towels and toiletries (en suite) * Charming pink kitchen including basic ingredients * Lounge with a rocking chair and dining table for two, working fireplace and candles * Basket of local wood, kindling & firelighters (£10 donation to honesty box kindly requested) * Dog bed and bowls provided * One minute walk to gastro pub and village shop * The owner lives in the semi-detached main house We love: Sitting out on the Airendak chairs around the fire pit and admiring the stars; this part of West Sussex has incredible night skies due to low light pollution in the area. Others love: The statement wallpaper & quirky pink kitchen! You may not love: The space is cosy and best suited for 2 adults. Please be aware of this when booking. The house is best suited to adults and can accommodate up to 2 adults comfortably. Please note, the staircase is wooden and painted so can be slippery – therefore it may not be suitable for small children or anyone with mobility issues. The door is wooden and swells in Winter so can be a bit sticky - just give it a big push! Furthermore, whilst the house is absolutely welcome to children, the space is small and not ‘baby proofed’ as such for very young children. We have included a travel cot and travel high-chair, but there are currently no safety gates, electrical socket guards or other baby/toddler safety equipment in the house. Guest access The check in process is self-service. The cottage is semi-detached but self contained with a private courtyard. Other things to note About us (your neighbours): We are a family of four with two young children. We bought this house a few years ago and set up this AirBNB to save for a larger renovation to turn this 60s build back into a lively family home. The cottage looks over our garden (which is mostly still a driveway!) so you may see or hear us during your stay. We don’t have pets of our own but would love to say hello to yours.
