Located in the picturesque village of Gunnerside, Pretoria Cottage is hosted by Mark & Sally. It boasts stunning views of Swaledale and walks of all difficulties from the doorstep. This traditional detached cottage, has been lovingly updated and is a stones throw from the local village pub. It is suitable for up to 3 guests The space The property has hi-speed WiFi, modern electric heaters in all rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, including a washing machine/tumble dryer and fridge freezer in the utility room. Entrance is via a porch, providing a useful storage area for coats and muddy boots. Lounge: The lounge contains comfortable seating, a beamed ceiling, flagged stone floor, cast-iron multi fuel stove and a Smart HD TV, perfect for relaxing and winding down. Guests are provided with the first basket of coal, logs, kindling and firelighters upon arrival. A dining table for 4 and coffee table is found in the lounge, providing a sociable environment for guests. Bedrooms: The master bedroom is a tastefully decorated double bedroom and the centre piece of the cottage, providing stunning westerly and northerly views of the village and surrounding countryside. Fully furnished with a King size bed, dressing table and Smart HD TV. The second bedroom includes a small double bed, with views up the dale. Bathroom: Our modernised bathroom, on the ground floor, includes underfloor heating, heated towel rail and walk-in shower. All linen and towels are provided. Kitchen: Entrance to the kitchen, through a utility room provides ideal storage space for food and drink. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, cafetière and coffee bean grinder. Full electric hob and multifunction oven/grill, microwave & air fryer are available for cooking. Other Info: Private parking in front of the property is suitable for a small to medium sized car. Free public parking is approx. 150 meters away in the village centre, opposite the village pub. Weekly bookings and shorter breaks are welcome. Guest access Full access to the property Other things to note No garden, although it has bench seating at the front of the property. No smoking or vaping within the property. No pets. No EV charging without prior approval.
