The back area is a shared property with the other homeowners that has access to the California Creek and the Iditarod trail Other things to note A few things The big windows in the living room and upstairs bedroom have blinds with an option to stay covered at the bottom and open at the top. So you can have your privacy and still enjoy the beautiful view. Living room - the string to the left brings the blind down. The string to the right will bring the top down to your desired height. Upstairs, there is a small stool to stand on and reach the button to release the blind. There is also a button to release the top. Please be careful. If you can not reach, there is a medium-sized step stool in the pantry. The water takes a little while to get warm/hot, so let it run for a few minutes. The washing maching is prefilled with a free and clear sensitive detergent. You can choose the level of soap or leave it on auto. If you choose to add your own soap, you can turn this feature off. After a cycle, there is an option to vent the drum, and it will beep at you. Just push the vent button, and it will run a cycle. The bean bag chair in the front room un-zips into a bed. There are extra sheets and blankets in the upstairs closets. Remove the fuzzy black cover. There is an additonal pad/cover that stays on. The couch seats recline, and the backs come up. Most of them are electric. You can find the buttons on the outside of the end seats and on the right side of the cushion on the inside seats. There are plenty of towels in the upstairs bathroom cupboard. The bathrooms have bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner. The hot tub is available for use. It is a 3-person size. To open the lid, start by flipping back the first half. For the second half, you can either carefully step into the hot tub to lift it and slide it back toward the wall, or stand between the hot tub and the railing to do the same—whichever is most comfortable for you. Please replace it after you are finished. The filters and cleaning/chemicals are pre-set and prefilled. There is a main control board that you can use for the music, lights, temperature, and bubbles/jets Please, no food and be careful with your beverages. The tvs are hooked to our accounts - you are welcome to watch ours or log out and connect to yours. There is a little wooden connect box with instructions for the wifi. Under the sink in the kitchen is a small dish rack that fits on the sink or a mat for the counter. We have pots, pans, and baking sheets. There are spices, grapeseed and olive oil. We currently have a Keurig with plenty of coffee and a drip coffee pot. There is also a coffee shop 1 block up across the street if you like something different. The mercantile is a small grocery store up the road that you can find a lot of what you need but if you plan on cooking and need more than a few items it will save you to stop at a bigger store in Anchorage (40 miles north of us) before you arrive. There are so many resturants to choose from here that you really can't go wrong with any of them. They all have amazing food! Occasionally, we will leave things, and you are welcome to use whatever we have. The garage on the 1st level is where we store our gear, and it is currently not available for use. On occasion, we may stop in to grab gear for a bike ride, hike, or ski. There is a separate entrance that we we would use and we won't disturb your stay. We will also notify you in advance.
