In our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home you can enjoy the views of nature all around, with floor to ceiling windows. Private new hot tub in the back of the home looks into serene woods! Home is 800 sq ft. 2bed room/2bth. Newly renovated home which combines new comfort with vintage charm. Decorated in Mid Century Modern style, to celebrate this unique home, built in 1969, we combined modern comforts with fun flash blacks. Outdoor space: -New hot tub seats up to six, available year round. -Deck has nice seating, cooler, and views of the woods. We also have an outdoor firepit, surrounded by woods (wood provided) - Approx 500 ft from nearest neighbor (minimal visibility when leaves on trees, more in winter) -Hot tub Living room: -Record Player, Alexa, 1950s radio -Smart TV (no cable) to stream -Lots of games, books, magazines -Beautiful wooded views Bedrooms: -First bedroom has a queen bed and an attached bathroom. This bathroom includes a Japanese soaking tub (large enough for most adults) and shower. New memory foam mattresses in both bedrooms. -Second bedroom has a king bed. Second bathroom is across the hall and includes shower/tub. -Both bedrooms with smart TVs Kitchen: -Kitchen is small but very functional- stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with icemaker - Full sets of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. Home has coffee pot (percolator and drip coffee maker). - Cotton Candy Maker - Coffee- Percolator and Drip coffee maker -Wifi is fiber and can easily stream on multiple devices/video conferencing etc Other amenities in The Galena Territory- - indoor community pool, - outdoor community seasonal pool. - Pontoon, kayak and fishing boats also seasonally available for rentals. Access to Lake Galena (boating lake, not a swimming lake) - Indoor exercise room, outdoor tennis courts, indoor basketball court, billiards, ping pong and many other games are also available at the Owners Club - Amazing golf options also available Location by car: - 5 min from Owner's Club (pool, gym, etc) - 10 min from wineries - 15-20 min from downtown Galena - 20 min from Chestnut Mountain - 10 min from hiking with goats/goat yoga - 15 min from Elizabeth - hiking trails walking distance - golf walking distance This home (we think :)) is awesome but may not be for everyone. - There is an approx 100 yrd walk down a sloped, paved path from where you park to the home. From there you walk up 7-8 steps to the home. We can't guarantee in winter it will be shoveled although we do have snow service - The road into the home is gravel, not steep (our old Ford fusion can drive in fine but snow might make challenging). -Also, this home has a spiral staircase to get to the lower level of the home, where the hot tub is located. The staircase is not suitable for young children, and there are wide gaps between rails that a child could squeeze through. (Our older kids (7 and up) love the home, but please be aware of this before booking). You can alternatively walk to the hot tub from the path in front of the home if you wish to avoid the stairs. We do have a security camera (audio and visual) that faces front of the house down the path/stairs up house. No smoking of any kind allowed on the property The house is surrounded in woods. Expect some bugs outside and occasionally inside. Just being honest- property is not perfect but we LOVE being there ;) Dogs are welcome if well behaved. Extra pet fee will apply. $65 fee for dogs. Must be well trained. No cats please (family member with allergy) Family managed property :) We are so excited to host you! Parking is free, and on the property. Smaller washer and dryer in the house in lower level (down spiral stairs) You will have the entire house other than small locked owners closet. We are family owned home. We will share our cell phone upon booking in case issues arise. There isn’t easy public transportation so you will need a car. Uber is only sometimes available. There is plenty of free parking. Guest access Doors have smart locks. You will be given code day of arrival.
