The space With beautifully crafted interior design and a modern country style throughout, the Big Barn offers unique open plan living perfect for multi-generational family gatherings or get-togethers with friends. Dog friendly too, The Big Barn is the home you’ll wish was your own. The Big Barn brings together two beautiful barns both adjoining and connected all under one roof : The Piggery and the Coach House combine to make The Big Barn providing accommodation for up to 8 people, plus one infant in a travel cot. Open the door to the Coach House Barn and you’re greeted by two remarkable hanging chandeliers, originally from the London show room of global fashion icon Vivienne Westwood. Another design-led statement piece in this stunning open plan living space is the magnificent weathered oak circular dining table offering the perfect spot for shared banquets or pared back lunches and brunches for up to eight guests. From vaulted beamed ceilings to the rustic romance of exposed brickwork, Farrow & Ball colours and natural materials not to mention lovingly restored and renovated features, you’ll find The Big Barn is relaxing and inspiring in equal measures. The fully equipped kitchen resplendent in a stunning charcoal shade, highlighted by an incredible metallic copper wall, promises everything you could need to rustle up wholesome feasts, with a Bosch oven, induction hob, dishwasher, tall fridge/freezer, microwave, real granite work surfaces and a traditional butler sink. There’s also a washing machine for cleaning up after muddy walks with the dogs and family! With abundant sumptuous sofa space and quirky accent armchairs, there’s plenty of room to settle down and catch up with your favourite series on the Smart TV which forms part of the impressive media wall and bookcase that encases the whole of the end wall of the barn. There’s a speaker system for creating the perfect soundtrack for your getaway, and for those with a retro taste in music, there’s even a record player and some vinyls to transport you back in time. There’s also a quiet corner with a desk area for those WFH moments when you just have to check an email or two! The adjoining one-bedroom Piggery barn is perfect for extended families or groups of friends staying at the Coach House who would like additional space and privacy. The Coach House is separated from the Piggery by a double inter-connecting fire proof door system which can be left open to maximise the space for the larger party but also provides the option of additional privacy . The Piggery is a one-bedroom self-contained barn, complete with luxurious king size bed and stylish ensuite bathroom. It also has an open plan living space with its own kitchen and a separate outdoor space with patio, garden furniture and BBQ area. SLEEPING & BATHING The Coach House has three heavenly bedrooms to choose from. The ground floor master bedroom boasts a glorious king-sized bed in neutral tones where, luxuriously encased in beautiful bed linen, relaxing, peaceful sleep is order of the day (or night!). The stylish en-suite bathroom/wetroom provides guests with not only a refreshing walk-in shower, but also a romantic roll-top bathtub for those moments of complete self-indulgence with premium quality toiletries provided. On the first floor, a further two beautiful bedrooms are nestled into the eaves of the barn. Swathed in luxurious linens and cloud-soft bedding, one offers a king-size bed - the perfect place for blissful slumbers, the second offers twin beds, perfect for those with children or guests happy to sleep separately. Both the first-floor bedrooms share a stylish family bathroom, complete with WC, shower unit and elegant corner sink. Our beds have Loaf pocket sprung mattresses for the highest level of comfort and luxury and there are heated rails in all bathrooms to keep towels warm and fluffy. Completing the living accommodation at The Coach House is a ground floor WC/cloaks. The Piggery offers a further stunning king-sized bedroom in the eaves, complete with an ensuite bathroom which not only has a shower but also a divine traditional cast iron slipper bath for soaking away the day! Depending on changeover availability, we may be able to offer you an early check-in and/or a late check-out. Early check-in is 1pm (as opposed to 4pm) and a late check out of 1.00pm (as opposed to 10am). This incurs a small surcharge of £30 for each change which covers the additional costs charged to us by our housekeeping services for changes to their standard schedule.
