Other things to note Right next to the castle in Amtzell on the edge of the Allgäu is the beautiful apartment. The beautiful area invites you to hike, cycle and do sports. There is also a small swimming lake in the village. Lake Constance is about 20 to 25 km away. The well-known cities of Lindau and Friedrichshafen are about 20 to 25 km to the south. In a few minutes by car you can visit the neighboring countries Switzerland and Austria. In Ravensburg, 20 km away, with its historic old town, you can enjoy a nice stroll through the city. Beautiful excursion destinations can be found throughout the Lake Constance region, such as: Meersburg with its historic castle and new castle as well as the ferry to Konstanz. From Meersburg you can take the boat to the island of Mainau, which invites you to linger with its many flowers, plants and animals. Bregenz, Vorarlberg's town on Lake Constance, also offers many opportunities for exploration, for a ride on the cable car to the approximately 1100 m high Pfänder.
