Welcome to Sunny Cottage, a fully fenced back and front yard cabin! Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning while taking a stroll in our huge backyard! After a long day of adventures, come back and unwind in our toasty hottub or gather by the fireplace burning up some s’mores. Spend the day hanging out in our spacious game room! From playing a fun game of pool, throwing darts, having an xbox match, or karaoke, there won’t be a dull or boring moment at the Sunny Cottage! The space Family friendly home! FIREPIT IS CURRENTLY NOT WORKING 3 beds, 2 baths with 4 beds and a sleeper couch. Sleeps 6 guests more than comfortably. Bedroom 1: -Located to the left hand side and is the first bedroom you will see. Also located across from the first full bathroom. -2 twin beds. 1 closet to store clothes. -1 TV. Bedroom 2: -Master bedroom with en suite bathroom. -1 king bed. -1 roku TV. -DVD player. Bedroom 3: -Located behind the master bedroom. -1 queen bed. -1 closet to store clothes. -1 TV. Bathrooms: -Each restroom will have 4-6 bath towels, hand towels, and face towels. -Toilet paper rolls, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap will be provided. Kitchen: -Equipped with basic cooking utensils and supplies. -A brand new microwave, Keurig coffee maker, creamer, coffee pods, spices, oil, dishwasher, utensils, plates, bowls, pots, pans, plastic cups, kitchen cloths, toaster, a gas stove and oven, knife set, cups, wine glasses, BBQ utensils, paper towel, a fridge with a freezer, cutting boards are all supplied for your stay. -Cleaning supplies, dishwashing detergent and extra trash bags can be found underneath the sink. Living Room: -Flat screen TV with firestick. HBO and other streaming services available for use. You may need to login to your own account for some services. -A faux leather couch that turns into a sleeper. -Throw pillows and blankets are available for use. -A wood burning fireplace located underneath the TV. -We do not provide wood so you must bring your own or purchase some nearby at any gas station or the groceries if you plan on using it. -A desk with a chair is located in the corner for those who may need to work or have online-school. Dining Room: -A dining table with brand new chairs. -A high chair is located by the dining table. Game Room: -Pool table -Dart board with darts. -An Xbox 360 game console with two controllers. -Air hockey table. -Fooseball table. -Washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are supplied. Backyard: -Fully fenced backyard. -Hottub that can fit 6 people. -Cornhole with throw bags. -Several children’s toys/play. -A table with built in bench. -Several seating areas/chairs for both adults and kids. Front Yard/Patio: -A propane BBQ. -1 bench. 1 cushion sofa seat. -A separate table and two chairs. Parking: -Maximum cars allowed at the home is 3. -You may park your cars inside or outside in the front. -You may open the gate and park vehicles inside. Guest access The entire home is yours to enjoy, with the exception of a couple of locked closets where we keep supplies. A code lock located on the front door will enable easy entry and exit on your own schedule. Other things to note Snow and inclement weather: -The snow in Big Bear Lake is one of the best things about the area in the winter. It is absolutely beautiful up here! However, there are some things to keep in mind when traveling to Big Bear Lake in the winter. Please read below to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit! -The snow is very beautiful but can also be very dangerous as well. Guests may find it easier to fall or slip on snow. We HIGHLY advise guests to be very cautious while walking on snow and especially so while guests are on or around our property. If and when there is an incident of falling, sliding, slipping, or anything along those lines, we are not held responsible nor liable for said incidents and or any injuries incurred from these incidents. Guests must take full cautionary measures and responsibility to prevent any accidents from happening at any given time while on the property. -When it snows, we will try our best to have the parking and walkways areas plowed/shoveled as soon as possible. However, there may be instances where you may find your car stuck in the snow if we receive heavy snowfall. A snow shovel will be provided at the home for your convenience. -Delivery services such as DoorDash, Instacart, and other restaurant/grocery-based deliveries are not reliable when it snows. Please come prepared by packing your own food /drinks when traveling to Big Bear during the winter months. The weather can be very unpredictable. Snowstorms can be unpredictable. We don’t want you to be stuck without the food and beverages you’ll need for a pleasant stay! -Please be aware of Big Bear travel restrictions and road conditions. Depending on the type of vehicle you have, chains may be required for driving on the mountain roads to and from Big Bear Lake. The altitude: -Big Bear Lake is located at 7000+ feet above sea level. The air is ‘thinner’ up here in the mountains! Please make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, it will help you adjust to the altitude. The air can be dry so bring moisturizers including lip balm. You may find that you get winded a bit easier than at lower elevations. General Housekeeping: -Please take your trash with you when you leave. The cleaners will charge an additional fee if you leave your trash behind in the home. This is in accordance with Big Bear Lake’s regulations. -Please also place your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run the dishwasher. Please do not leave it sitting in the sink as the cleaners will also charge an additional fee for this. We will provide the dishwashing detergent. Thank you for understanding. -As a courtesy, and to help with cleanliness, please remove your shoes in the home. Big Bear can be very muddy and wet, and we want to ensure that our carpets and floors stay as clean as possible for your stay and for future guests. -There is absolutely no smoking in the home. Refund Policy: -There will be no refunds given, outside of the specified time frame. As long as there is a way up and down the mountain, there will be no refunds given. -Big Bear is located in a mountainous region, and on occasions in the winter season we do experience power outages. This does not take place often, but due to the rural location of the home, we do experience outages more often than the City. We will not be refunding guests when power outages occur as the power tend to come back shortly - but of course not every situation is the same, and we will take each situation on a case by case basis. Security: -There is a Security Camera outside of the property. We do not have any cameras inside of our home. It is illegal for us to do so. We use the outside camera to do an initial head count and to ensure your security during your stay as well as during vacancies. -For your security, please remember to lock the home when you leave. Please double check both doors to be sure they are locked when leaving the home for any reason. Good Neighbor Regulations: -We have a strict no-party policy. Quiet hours start at 10pm each night, so please make sure to comply. Upon check-in, you will be asked to sign a Good Neighbor Policy. This is a Big Bear Lake city regulation. It’s important to be respectful of our neighbors as Big Bear is a residential community. We appreciate your cooperation.
