Antique Casa Cocola in central Istria

Nestled in the serene village of Čohilji, the charming ancient stone house known as Casa Cocola offers a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature. With only two other inhabited homes in the area, it provides an idyllic escape in central Istria. Just a 15-minute drive from Pazin and a mere 5 minutes from the nearest market in Cerovlje, Casa Cocola serves as a perfect base for exploring the entire Istrian region, with all its attractions accessible within 45 minutes. The space Casa Cocola features two distinct apartments, Gioia and Rosa, along with the Emilia rooms. Apartment Gioia offers a comfortable bedroom for two, complete with a desk and an ensuite bathroom. The main level boasts a fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and washing machine, alongside a dining area and a cozy lounge with a smart TV. In contrast, Apartment Rosa is more spacious, featuring two bedrooms for two, each with its own ensuite bathroom on the first floor. Its split-level main floor includes a large dine-in kitchen, also equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine, leading to a living room adorned with a grand fireplace and a sizable smart TV. The Emilia rooms, located in a nearby building, consist of a bedroom for two with an ensuite bathroom and a connecting room with three single beds. These rooms are situated on the first floor, and on the ground floor, guests can enjoy a game room filled with a smart TV, table, couch, and board games for family fun. Outside, there’s a lounge area and separate entrances for each apartment, while the back features a pool and a spacious covered patio with a large table that seats over 14 people. The house can accommodate up to 11 guests in the bedrooms, with the option for four additional guests on sofa beds, and a crib is available upon request. Guest access The whole property is for the guests. Other things to note A damage deposit of €500 is required, which must be paid via bank transfer—cash is not accepted. This deposit will be refunded up to 24 hours after checkout, provided the property passes inspection and no house rules were broken. Well-behaved pets are allowed in the house at no extra cost, provided you clean up after them. If not, an additional fee will apply. Proper waste separation is strongly encouraged. If you purchase plastic bottles or metal cans while in Croatia, please refrain from crushing them. Instead, set them aside, and we will ensure they are properly recycled.
