Conch Shell Cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood in Estate Adrian off the main road, in the center of the island. It's a rural area surrounded by many tall trees and greenery and you may encounter animals of all sorts, such as, goats, deer, chickens, cats, dogs, or an occasional donkey. There are several Virgin Islands National Park maintained trails with historical ruins, great for hiking, within a short walking distance. The area is home to a few local and American cuisine restaurants, bars, and nightclubs that will welcome you if that is your interest. Also, in a very short distance, or as the locals say, "in our backyard", is the famous view at Neptune's Lookout (a MUST see). They host weddings, parties, and other events. They serve lunch daily and occasionally have live local music. While the area has a descent night life, there is still a peaceful serenity in the cottage. Right around the corner is a grocery store, gas station, laundromat, and the island's only health clinic, Myrah Keating Smith Clinic; all are in walking distance. We are also on the public bus route and about 7-10 minutes away from Cruz Bay, our main town, and the beaches or about 20 minutes from Coral Bay. We are situated in the center of the island. A short walk will get you around the area to the trails, grocery, restaurants, The clinic, or the most spectacular view at Neptune's Landing. Walking distance, there are lots to do in the area, and one of the most gorgeous views right around the corner. The public bus route can be used to get around. It costs $1 per ride, but there is no posted schedule and it is not always reliable. Or for a small fee, a car can be rented. We offer additional services, upon request, for a small fee, processed separately. Provisioning - if you need us to stock your fridge or unit with groceries or other supplies.
