Twin Ponds Guest House boasts an open-floor-plan overlooking the historic Saw & Gristmill on Mill Pond and Marsh's fresh water Pond. Stone walls, lavender walkways & day lilies will welcome you. Relax & read the day away or in moments you can be in the midst of the most wonderful sailing, shops, food and fun imaginable. The space Our Guest House is fully stocked with whatever you will need for a fantastic time in Boothbay Maine. Dine overlooking the Mill Pond or Picnic overlooking Linekin Bay. Relax and kayak or row on either of the beautiful ponds if you bring a kayak or row boat. Within steps is the public boat launch area for Linekin Bay if you have your own boat. You will surely know you're in Maine staying in this magical and serene location. You will just love the guest house and the property along with some local superstars. The East Boothbay General Store which is a lovely brief walk away to some of the most yummy Gourmet delights! Carriage House Restaurant is just up the road with great local atmosphere and food. Our main home on the property is 1769 Georgian-style home, accompanied by a large barn & carriage house. This historic home, built by Samuel Montgomery, an early resident and the owner of a saw & gristmill, boasts frontage on Mill Pond plus a 4-acre fresh-water pond. The seven-bay carriage house, built in 2002, derives from regional design. We are a three minute car ride from Ocean Point one of the most beautiful areas around for walking, painting and photo taking. 5 minutes drive into the town of Boothbay Harbor full of shops and wonderful restaurants. We are about an hour from Portland, 25 minutes from Wiscasset, 30 minutes to Damerscotta, 45 minutes give or take a few to Camden and about 3 hours from Boston. Please come and visit for a true local Maine experience. Guest access The entire Guest House Other things to note Please ask about all the local delights and we can help you find what your looking for. Book early because things book up fast for our season. Also our guest house has been set up for adults and is not child safety proof. We only can accommodate Infants that are not crawling or not walking.
