This is no ordinary tipi/teepee . . . it's complete with queen size bed, cotton sheets, warm quilts and a down comforter on a pillow top mattress. There is also a queen size futon. We wanted to create a unique Glamping experience that is easy for everyone to come stay with us. We provide everything you need except clothes and food. At the end of your stay - all you have to do is go home and we take care of the rest. Enjoy mountain views in the country! Our beautiful 20' Crow Tipi sits on a new wooden deck in a beautiful grassy location among the pine trees with a wonderful mountain view. The wrought iron queen size bed with comfy linens has a candlelight chandelier hanging over the bed for a romantic feel. The smoke flaps can be open at night for a view of the stars. There is a small table with four chairs and a barn wood chest that holds dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, drinking glasses and pots & pans. A coffee maker with coffee, tea bags and condiments is provided. Towels, wash cloths and hand towels are provided also. An antique blanket chest sits at the end of the bed and holds extra blankets, coverlets for use outside by the campfire, games, books and a first aid kit. This year we have added ELECTRICITY to the tipi!! There is now a small refrigerator and plugs to charge all your devices. Rugs are on the floor for your comfort on the wooden deck. There is a blue tooth lantern provided for light and listening to music. There is no smoking in our tipi. Outside a propane grill is provided for your cooking needs next to a picnic table.  A fire pit sits right outside your tipi with adirondack chairs and camp chairs to sit on while making s’mores and memories. The wide-open spaces and lack of light pollution outside the tipi make this an ideal location for stargazing. Relax in one of our hammocks with a book or just take a nap while listening to nature. Children are welcome and will have an awesome time staying in a real tipi. There are lots of creative spaces around the tipi that you will enjoy. A private flushing toilet is located only steps away. Close by is a spacious outdoor shower with hot water and a dressing room. There is a sink for hand or dish washing next to the shower. The water from the sink is cool clear well water from our house system, great if you want to make coffee or fill water bottles. A hand and dish washing sink with large mirror is attached to the side of the shower. Our tipis are located on our private property in the mountains at 7200' in elevation. The National Forest is just outside your door and you are welcome to hike as much as you like. We have wild turkeys, white tail deer and lots of birds that will be around almost every day. At night you may hear the elk grazing outside. As our guest you will have everything you need and more for an  unforgettable glamping experience. Those traveling with pets will be pleased to know that four-legged glampers are welcome at this property but must be attended at all times and remain on a leash. They are not to be left alone in the tipi and we don’t allow them on the beds. We have doggie beds you are welcome to use, just let us know. We do not allow more than two pets. Also we charge an additional pet fee of $25 per pet which you must pay when you arrive if you haven't paid online for pets. Please always pick up after your pets! Our location is very unique - we have added an antenna for WiFi service. If you use Verizon Wireless, it is possible you can have some service as we have a Verizon Wireless Booster at our house. Our guest will be able to access the tipi, the space surrounding it and hike as much as they would like in the National Forest. Please don't cross the fence lines of our neighbors. Our property has a wild, natural, laid back feeling. If you are looking for a sterile, manicured, pristine hotel environment, respectfully, this may not be the place for you. This being a rural area, residents here do have animals. You may be awakened by roosters crowing or dogs barking. At night you may hear the elk grazing outside. We live in our house on the property. Should you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by ringing the doorbell located on our front gate. We are available to help you out at anytime during your stay. Our tipi is located in the Lincoln National Forest and it is special in its own right by the quietness and peacefulness you will feel while relaxing here. You are welcome to cook your own meals or there is a small café about 5 miles away or there is a bigger selection of places to eat in Cloudcroft which is 12 miles away. This being a rural area, residents do have animals and there is wildlife on our property. You may be awakened to roosters crowing or dogs barking. At night you might hear the elk grazing outside, coyotes howling or owls. Most people enjoy these "nature sounds" but if you don't, we provide disposable ear plugs. Our property has a wild, laid-back feeling. If you are looking for a sterile, manicured, pristine hotel environment, respectfully, this may not be the place for you. You will have to drive yourselves to our camp but once here you are welcome to hike or ride bikes. Our property backs up to the National Forest so you can hike as far as you wish. There is a Forest road a mile from us that is wonderful for 4 wheelers or jeeping. We want all of our guests to enjoy themselves and our wonderful outdoors. Breathe clean air. Sit around the fire and listen to the stillness. Be out where things are simple and every breath is a reminder that there is beauty and magic left in this world. Enjoy it!
