ABOUT BREAKWATER'S WAHKEENA CONDO Wahkeena Condo has everything a family or group of friends will need for a vacation along Washington's coast. There are bunk beds for the kids (or young at heart adults!), a separate bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a futon in the living room for extra sleeping. This condo can sleep up to to seven people comfortably. Clean, comfy linens and towels are supplied. This end unit has a bright red refrigerator, a four burner stove, a sink, and storage for snacks or the supplies you'll need to cook up a great dinner. Dishware, pots, pans, and everything you'd want to bring from home is already included. Or maybe you just want to make a salad inside and use one of the complex's grills to cook up something truly amazing. WHY THE NAME "WAHKEENA CONDO"? In 1928, the Wahkeena schooner left Aberdeen on her way to California carrying over a million pounds of lumber. At the harbor mouth in a dense fog and at a lower tide, she struck the side of the jetty. Two tugs came to pull her off of the jetty, and much later in the day she was freed (whether by the tugs or the tide rising), but early the next morning she had sunk to her top deck after taking on water. No more than two dogs, please, with our typical per dog, per night fee. We even supply blankets for Fido. We are dog lovers, too. With nine crafty condos and five homey cottages, you and your family and friends can create the perfect getaway for yourselves. Need a place where you can host a good-sized group? Talk to us. Each cottage or condo can accommodate 2 to 6 people and, if an event space is needed, the Grayland Community Hall is less than a half mile from the property. Each cottage or condo includes a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and utensils, and most with a stove and toaster, so it's easy to whip up breakfast for the group. Beds are just right for diving into after a long day at the beach, enjoying a whale watching tour or exploring the shops and restaurants in nearby Westport. Breakwater is a self-check in property. No manager is onsite, but staff are available by phone for service. ABOUT GRAYLAND & WESTPORT Try to not tire yourself out at the resort too much, as the towns of Grayland and Westport have much to offer as well! There are many museums to visit (including the International Mermaid Museum), see how cranberries are grown, or walk through Westport and stop into the little shops for gifts or ice cream. If you'd rather hit the open water, join a whale watching tour or charter a fishing boat to test your luck and spin your tales! MANAGED: This well managed property needs good behavior and adherence to instructions, rules, terms, conditions, and may require online registration and electronic signature before final booking, or you may cancel before proceeding at that time. Phones open 7am to 9pm everyday. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording but may not be activated depending on security company. To allow enough time for full cleaning, check-In time is 5pm and Check-Out is 11am.
